Our rep called this morning. He is not sure what wil happen May 22 when Canada Post workers can strike again but he warned us to have mail into the system by the 14th of May to ensure it asll reached its destination, especially anything in the furthest provinces.
We do have another shipper lined up in case there is a strike but they may not ship to the more rural destinations.

So, just to clarify.
it’s not a “can” strike again.

The members nor the union get any choice.
Canada post already stated that they did not anticipate this, but since the government only PAUSED the strike, it’s to RESUME on the 22nd. No say by the employees union or corporation. No rotating strikes. No lockout. A complete resumption of the strike as it was in December.

The only thing that will stop it is Canada post and the union signing a 4 year agreement before that date.

Both Canada post and the union thought there would be another vote. Canada post banked on employees being broke and accepting concessions and the union banked on employees being mad about being forced back to get a successful vote, neither will happen.

The government could stop this, just like they paused it. Keep that in mind but since a whole lot of idiots re voted in the liberals, expect the status quo.

It is looking like mail service will be disrupted on May 22.
If you live in Western Canada, you should have a couple days to get orders in and still receive your parcel. Those in the North or East of MB, time is already getting really close to risking having your order hung up. Please choose express post (but not for firearms)
You can also choose curbside pickup even if you live far away and then contact us to arrange alternative shipping. We have a couple courier options available, even for firearms.

So I am a contractor to Canada post. Do parcels for them. Numbers of parcels are rock bottom it's all going to purolator as it's the same ceo. Yes Canada post owns 92% of purolator same ceo runs both businesses that's pretty corrupt . Today the 15 there's a government labor negotiations individual involved that will probably say binding arbitration no strike. Haven't heard anything yet tomorrow is basically the decision and decided factor

Canadapost is the most Uncanadian business. They deserve to be all fired and started from zero with minimum wage.

In Windsor for the worst paid job 10 people apply.
So #### the working class huh? Bet you're just over the moon about the level of immigration taking jobs from Canadians too. If a Canadian won't do it for a living wage, just replace them with someone that will do it for half the price and live in a 3 bedroom house with 14 other people, right?

I don't understand the hate for CP. Private couriers are more expensive and don't service a large percentage of the country. If CP dies or privatizes do you think things will get cheaper or something?

Or is it just "unions bad therefore CP bad"? The disdain for working class Canadians will never make sense to me...

The people who actually handle the mail are not to blame.

Tell all the Desk Jockeys to stay home. The Mail will still get Delivered.

Tell the Letter Carriers to stay home. The Mail won't get delivered.

The Desk Jockeys will still get paid without disruptions or concessions.

That is the real problem with Canada Post and negotiations.

This is reality in Windsor, beloved Liberals filled streets in Windsor with young indians ready do work for one dollar...

No hate on for my PO cuties. They're the best! And they only ever lost one pistol, temporarily.
