SK match rifle 22LR 40 gr standard velocity

Welcome, from out under a rock

Nordic marksman, range view sports, tesro, G4C and prophet river are ouf of stock.

Keep checking I guess

SK ammo is the new Alliant unobtanium, already I am longing to see that distinctive headstamp again. the only real alternative is Eley, hope that stuff doesn't go extinct as well.

" Range Sports " (search for SK Rifle Match Canada for this vendor - not a sponsor) shows stock and I was able to put 100 boxes in a cart. Seems NO discount for that quantity, so it came to $1350 plus tax and shipping, but NO prob for that quantity. Oddly they do not 'deal with' shipping, instead you pay shipper YOU choose via Spotify. I've never dealt with this vendor so I can't comment on them. The basic price is reasonable and if you're 'Out West' shipping from Calgary might no be bad ?
My 455 and 457 VMTR both do well with RM. My other rifles do too, but aren't accurate enuf to warrant the cost.

It’s unfortunate that this is sold out. Lots of new shooters will miss out. There’s a few boxes locally at a near by gun store

Bought a crate of the above ammo a couple years ago and I’m down to the last 1000. Anyone have a reliable source for this ammo.
'Heights Archery' Winnipeg is my go to - had some bricks a few weeks ago ...

I'm using SK Biathalon now ...

Also Dominion Outdoors in Winkler is another

I recently tried S&B Cdn Match. Just one sample box I thought for $6 worth a try. It did not shoot that great from my Anschutz 1411 but it shot surprisingly well from my modded Ruger Sr-22.

Did you try SK Standard Plus in your gun? At least a couple of diff lots? It's made with very same components on same equipment as Rifle Match.

It ALL boils down to what YOUR Rifle can shoot well with. SK-RM is fine for me, a 'mid-grade' that i can be comfortable shooting for ca 25c/round (15% TAX ☹️ ) . . . better than spending $30-ish / box for 'Better' ammo.
I have a CZ-457 VMTR that does OK wit it, to my satisfaction but I don't 'compete'. I've tried all 'mid-grade' Eley and they are Crap in my rifle. They do fine in 'less demanding' rifles so that's where they end up. Some of my 22s are 'Not Destined' to be MOA rifles 😉
