The only reason for me to buy one is if I were wanting to switch out receivers. Since I'm not, I don't see the value in purchasing this. Not in today's Canada, where everything is overpriced, and hard to find.

the only thing that makes it a magnum is the 3 inch ejector and housing, you can use any 870 12ga bbl.

You did ask what we think the price should be, I'd buy one against my better judgment for probably $200 max, more than that my brain would start waking up to the reality of the PITA itd be to assemble all the parts from the aether and that id basically end up with a normal 870...EDIT i also just checked online and found 870 police models in stock at four seperate dealers for under $1000...so yea idk if I'd even pay $200 for the reciever.

I’d leave’em be. The premium for a “Police” stamping and a few tapped screw holes is more status than substance in my opinion.

Parts as simple as trigger group pins can be frustrating to find or even a stock bolt and bearing plate.

I've seen guys asking $30 for pins and the same for a stock bolt

The only parts I’d need is a bolt, slide and trigger group. I’d be on this right away If I could affordably find them.

I've seen Remington 870 Express Receivers with the bolt, trigger group, safety, etc. for $300.00 on the EE, and Gun-Post.

I think your price suggestions are a little high at best.

One does have to shop around and be quick to purchase these good deals when they become available.

A price of $150.00 for BadBoys (S&J), stripped Police receiver seems to be a price folks would be willing to pay.

It will be interesting if they actually go for $150.00. And not $279.00 like another fellow joked about.

I love the guys who will deliberately want to drive up the price of a product, where the dealer is looking for feed-back on an asking price.

If you have piles of money, why not tell them you will pay $399.99.

As long as the receiver price isn't ridiculous.

Apparently there are people with more money than brains, and want to drive up the price.
