buy 2 bricks and lower your shipping cost per round.. In my experience to get better consistency than sk, i have to spend over 18 per box...

I agree that CCI-SV will shoot 'close to' SK+, and it sells for about 1/2 the cost. If you're competing, I'd pay the SK price tho. Last Winter when there was a Lapua shortage, I bought a few bricks of SK-RM for ca $130 plus $55 shipping for 4 bricks. Only 2 vendors had SK-RM and NO SK+. The price was average back then for SK-RM but the shipping p***ed me off, but I wanted it.

OH, I forgot about the effect the "Great Big Tariffs" have on ammo NOW. Lapua stuff is from EU and Eley is UK, so . . .
Eley does cost less, but my VMTR didn't like the 2-levels I tried - Club and Sport - a brick each at about $100/brick plus tax- 15% here Last Year. CCI-SV shot better than Eley for me, so I bought a bunch for practice.

The price per brick of SK Std+ which I bought in January 2025 was $ 130.81 (including shipping and tax). For being resident on the Left Coast ( where BC means Bring Cash) I considered that cost fair.
The cheapest you are going to find this ammo is 'Today'.
Or find something else the gun shoots.
Canadian keeper, not sure what ammo your shooting them pesky Gophers with , but I found American Eagle Hollow Points devestaing out beyond 50 yrds in of the many CZ's I have owned .
Not idea what rifle you are using , but stepping up to .17hmr is going to be $$.
SK Magazine, the lowest grade of SK, is currently at $140 per can (bulk) IF You can find any. Many vendors are OOS. And any 'Lapua brands' you find will be at least that price, unless you find a LGS that is holding prices down.

I tested a ton of different brands etc on gophers and IMO the best terminal performance and accuracy is the Winchester Power Point. There is more accurate ammo, faster ammo and cheaper ammo but I don't think there is a more terminally effective ammo for less cost.
Good luck finding them. My uncle and I are on a permanent search for them across bc and AB. Rarely find a box here and there
You’re being gouged at $150. Tesro sells this ammo for $100 and my local GS has it in stock for $110. Tesros out of stock atm. If we support gougers then the price just keeps skyrocketing like what’s happened with Blackhorn .
Tesro 'used to sell' for $100, but Out of Stock for How Long. That might be from earlier this year, but more likely Last year - or earlier. I paid $115 plus tax & shpg in Feb-2024 for SK-RM - SK+ might have been 10 less But No One had any at that time, across the country.
There will be more late fall early winter , hopefully before Christmas’s if you have enough to hold you through the rest of the shooting season you should be alright. We see this last year , not much around , lots of gouging going on but then a shipment came in to most LGS with normality prices but I’d say it got bought up in about a month or two , so when you see the shipment come in I’d jump on a case. Don’t panic buy to not end up shooting it when the new order comes in
