Benelli M4 with Advanced Impact Choke system!

I finally received mine, and after checking, the Drone Guardian indeed comes with a black mate Modified choke, identified by the three notches at the muzzle

As for the optic, the MPS that comes with the Drone Guardian is basically the “special simplified edition” of the Steiner MPS — a version made exclusively for this model.

Only 3 brightness levels, no NV settings, no auto-off, and a rotary switch you could probably operate while wearing oven mitts.

This is actually consistent with Benelli’s own promotional videos, including the one with Finnish champion Kim Leppänen.

What’s misleading, though, is that Benelli Defense shows the real MPS on their website, and even in some product presentations — including the TFBTV Show Time video — the Drone Guardian is displayed with the standard MPS instead of the simplified one.

Did it come with the full length mag tube?

A sucker born every minute. Throw a few buzz words on the receiver and mark it up 1k. Even having to discuss if a modern gun can safely shoot steel shot is retarded. Some folks are just a little too soft in the head.
Whatever...OP's still rockin' a brand new M4...what soviet rock salt shi tter you running?

It makes use of the longer-patterning Advanced Impact series of chokes, and comes with a Steiner red dot.
Not to mention this one has QD Attachment Points in places where the other doesn't.
Only slugs used
Breneke Orginal Slugs
No choke needed with slugs
Installed Bennelli Cylinder choke Tube
Alaska Bear Defense
Replaced pistol grip stock with field stock and added Leupold DPP

Any regrets after getting it?
Not at all. Yeah, the Steiner MPS on the Drone Guardian has fewer features than the commercial version… but considering the auto-off one eats batteries like a politician eats promises, maybe Benelli actually did us a favour.

I mostly needed something to replace my HK SL8 — which I’ll soon be donating to the government’s “Forbidden Toys Museum.”

And since nothing on the current semi-auto market really excited me, the M4 looked like the only sane option. So far it feels great — lighter than expected and rock solid. Now I just need a proper range day to finish convincing myself… but I don’t doubt I’ll be delighted.

What type of choke tube is in there? I know modified, but what type/model?

What does that mean? So doesn’t look like the photos?
it looks mostly like what it does in the photos, just not that specific part
Seen one of these at reliable in vancouver. Says drone guardian on the side in white was kind of tacky. 3900 I think. Not sure what the red dots worth
Based on what I've seen, probably around $700 to $900. I don't know for sure, never worked for Steiner.

This is new/revolutionary. I've never seen a choke like it.
Check my photo — the choke base is wider than the bore. Pretty sure Benelli designed this on a Friday afternoon.
My barrel is pretty much a 10-gauge at this point. Benelli better chill before the Liberals decide it counts as a grenade launcher and ban it next week 😅

Thank you for your concern about me. Rest assured, I didn’t pay full price and I’m quite happy with my grenade-launcher-level shotgun, complete with a Steiner red dot I can even operate while wearing oven mitts.

However, it seems you may have taken a wrong turn. May I suggest browsing the forum? I’m sure you’ll find a thread about firearms that better fit your budget — unless, of course, you’d like to stay here and share your incredible expertise with us. 😘

Sincerely,
The guy who spent $4,000 on a shotgun.

I have a Mossberg magnum Turkey gun (835?) that is also 10 gauge, reduced to 12 via the choke. It's ported a-la vang comp from factory. For Benelli to take on a similar dimensional set up is good news, tells me it works!

I'm not saying the Mossberg is anything akin to your cutting edge Benelli. The steel used, that wild choke, length of forcing cone, etc., etc., will all be superior in the Benelli. It's the concept of shooting a 12 gauge down a 10 bore and choking it at the near end is what I'm talking about.

Nice gun. I can't wait for the range report of how it PATTERNS at 75 YARDS!
