Meeting place for Newbies and Mentors - BC

Hello from Vancouver.. never shot a single bullet but the license arrived in the mail.. cant wait to be part of this awesome community :)
Welcome to a great hobby!
There are so many various disciplines in shooting. Find what you like, and then grow your firearm inventory. Ask for advice on this forum, you'll get a lot of great advise if you give a proper input in your questions :)
Once you know which direction to go with your shooting, then you can join some clubs, go to events and enjoy the hobby!

Cheers,
Eugene

Does anyone have any experience with Thompson Mountain Range? Good or bad? is it worth the membership? I am thinking of Thompson or Burke Mountain ( Port Coquitlam)

Hello from Vancouver Island (Courtenay area). I will always be on the lookout for people to shoot with in the area

Any newbie women's groups in the Mission /Maple Ridge area?
Mission rangge does an Introduction to Shooting for Women a few times a year, great place to connect with like minded ladies and find out what’s available to you 👍
Check their website or call them directly for info

That's good to know. I actually became a member there a couple months ago and have been keeping an eye on their calendar in case anything similar was scheduled but nothing so far. I'll give them a call. Thanks!

For those that have little to no experience, this is the place to contact those of us that are willing to meet with you, and let you pop off a few rounds.

TIME PERMITTING, of course, I am willing to take out newbies for a chance to become aquainted with guns. Contact me by PM (Personal Message) by scrolling over my name.
Notice that I am located in Langley, BC.

As this forum grows, more mentors will offer to do the same, and a formal list will be built.
Sounds like a blast! My spouse has some guns he needs to part with if anyone is interested!

Hey Tootall, what firearms is your spouse offering up? I might be interested in a .375 H&H at some point.

Hello from Burnaby. I started shooting this pass summer and have big time GAS (gun acquisition syndrome)! So far, I bought 5 and am looking at an SKS french tickler. Currently a member at langley gun range, but I am thinking about the Port Coquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club next.

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great information.
Talk to someone who is a member at PoCo. I've heard some concerns, but I am not a member so don't know details

I am in Langley, how would you rate the Langley range? Is it worth joining? I am new to shooting, my kids absolutely love it.
