Good to know! I’ll add that in my toolbox. Thanks! Why I got small strap wrenches..

You may have a little bit of crud in there still and could be preventing the comp from seating fullyGot it down to this much. I guess i just have a weak grip. And panicked for nothing.

I’m good as it is for now as it’s going to be hidden in the handguard.
Do I put grease on the thread or blue loctite?
Thanks again everyone!!!

Ok, this makes more sense.Dlask saying they machine the barrel blanks to .625 pencil or straight profile is what’s misleading you. They sleeve the carbon fiber on afterwards and that brings the OD. to .820. You’ll need the .820 comp for your CF barrel.

Do it…Ok, this makes more sense.
I don't know why I didn't simply just measure it mysself…
It didn’t sit fully. You may have a little bit of crud in there still and could be preventing the comp from seating fully
Thanks for posting these. I wanted a 13" MI for my 12.5 barrel, Assumed with the linear comp it would poke out the end. I don't think I like that for myselfI like how the 12.5” sits flush with the 13” MI handguard.
I wonder if it’ll look awkward when it’s done.

If you find your handguard seems to be on a downward tilt compared to your barrel and rear stock, There's a little circle ring on the on the inside of the barrel channel that puts upward force on the barrel.Ok, this makes more sense.

I thought it would poke a bit too. I thought the part of the barrel that goes in the receiver doesn’t count on the total length. Thanks for posting these. I wanted a 13" MI for my 12.5 barrel, Assumed with the linear comp it would poke out the end. I don't think I like that for myself
This is how the barrel sat in the handguard when I got it. You can see the barrel not sitting level. When I removed the handguard there was a round tab at the nose causing the "tilt". It was simple to remove and all is good (level). If you find your handguard seems to be on a downward tilt compared to your barrel and rear stock, There's a little circle ring on the on the inside of the barrel channel that puts upward force on the barrel.
While most people probably wouldn't notice, it was driving my crazy. 1 minute with a file and the handguard sat parallel with the barrel.

already in. Too lazy to take it apart.Just put an “O” ring there. It will take up the gap and you won’t need loctite
I just shot mine, wasnt too worried. was fairly impressed with what I was able to accomplish at 25 and 50 yards with just a red dotDo you guys clean a new barrel with boresnake viper before taking it first time to the range?
I just simply don’t understand why people put a comp there and then hide it in the hand guard.I like how the 12.5” sits flush with the 13” MI handguard.
I wonder if it’ll look awkward when it’s done.

yeah... no its not, especially not a linear compI just simply don’t understand why people put a comp there and then hide it in the hand guard.
Comp on rimfire has 0 functions, it’s pure aesthetic
