Subtlety is lost on the internet. It hits better when one can judge inflection and tone of voice.
Allow for one LOP. Length of pike.Regarding weight vs mass (keep in mind I wasn't part of the original argument on this). I've never weighed anything on the moon and most likely never will weigh anything on the moon, unless we suffer some weird turn of events in the near future.
So safe to say weight and mass are basically interchangeable as the gravity under which I'll ever be weighing anything isn't changing. Unless one want to consider the minute change periodically caused by the moons gravitational pull.
My biggest worry however is bouyancy, should I ever have the need to shoot a fish. There's no means to enter specific gravity in fluid into my ballistics calculator... so how do I know which elevation adjustment to make?

Mass is constant and has magnitude only. Represented by kilograms (Kg).
Weight has magnitude and direction, represented by Newtons (N).

Most of us here AMASS bullets.
Are you doing this in a vacuum or is there air friction? In a vacuum theoretically they would hit the ground at the same time. The curvature of the earth may affect that...Here's one for all you egg heads out there to ponder:
This is one application where weight is involved.
If one dropped a 175gr. bullet (no case etc.) from 1m and fired a 175gr. bullet from a rifle perfectly horizontal ( also @ 1m) at the exact same time, which bullet would hit the ground first?
