300 yards with a .22 RF?
Are you an ant looking to move a rubber tree?
What you wish to try is not a beginners move nor is the resultant equipment what one would call entry level.
Maybe try hooking up with seasoned shooter and try your luck at 1/10 the distance and see for yourself that the intended game is much more difficult than you could imagine.
LOL! You need to get out there in life and have some FUN and new experiences. I was shooting out to 500m on a regular basis with my 22. Not at the gongs, because you don't even hear them or see them move at that distance. Just aiming for the rocks on the berm, or the orange clays. Pretty amazing with the consistency you can get out there when there is no wind to deal with.
I also have a CZ 457 and shoot regularly at gongs at 300m using cheap and plentiful CCI standard.
It is a lot of fun. I can shoot, rack the bolt and have a new round ready to go before I hear the report from the steel!
Aint that the truth. Last I was using the anny 1727, and had another round in before the bullet made it out to 500 m, forget about the sound coming back.
