yep sometimes you just got to go lol. Funny moment speaking of peeing. Nice buck presented himself. I did everything right. Stood up. Waited. Raised the bow. Waited. Came to a full draw and the arrow came away from the string and tipped over and caught on the rest. Waited. Told him to bugger off lol. Arrow worked its way lose while I was sitting for probably a couple of hours. Hung off the bow like a limp #### ##### lol

But what about taking a leak anywhere near where you are hunting? Is that a complete no-no and guys piss in a bottle to bring home? Or...am I completely over thinking it and it really doesn't matter?

Just do what you gotta do. If you're setup down wind of your hunting spot it's not an issue anyway.
 
My wife and I hunt together…. She mentioned she needed to pee, so walked away behind me. I took about 10 steps forward, saw a buck, took aim, shot and dropped it. Apparently this was just as my wife was starting to drop her drawers…. Wow was she mad at me for causing her to piss herself before she was ready…
 
What you guys dont dig a ditch to pee in and fill it over?

Of course number one rule when doing one or two in the woods is to have the rifle in reach.
 
I’m glad this old myth has apparently been busted by the majority. I remember 20-30 years ago guys would obsess over urine and there were bottles, masking scents and stuff that turns your urine solid (diaper absorbent product?) to solve the “problem”.

Your movement required to actually take a leak is far more likely to spook a deer than the smell of your piss đź‘Ť
 
I am not a big time hunter but I have been in a stand for Black bear near bait and the outfitter was rather adamant about us bringing a bottle to relieve ourselves while in the stand. It was a big deal for him anyways. As for deer a buddy of mine will piss in the scrapes and its amazing how much the bucks tear it up overnight. It seems to be more a thing of what you are hunting.

In the old days, I shot many ducks, geese and a couple deer with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I haven't smoked for many years, but I still piss like a race-horse when hunting. (morning coffee) I mostly hunt the forest fringe where there is domestic livestock. There is all kinds of scents from the farmlands therefore, I never concerned myself about scent, and I never play the wind.

An orange vest and hat is all I wear thats special for hunting, well, along with long johns and good foot wear.

I cant be convinced that $500 coats and pants are needed.

These guys seemed to do just fine.

 
I'm quite sure scent is a factor if you're at ground level. I'm fully prepared to believe those who say it isn't if you're up in a tree stand. Game has expectations about human behaviour just as we do about theirs.
