As a proud Canadian who is ashamed of my government I can appreciate this offer as some may need to take advantage of this. Personally I would encourage fellow citizens of Canada to keep as many firearms as possible in the country and in their possession. Quiet non compliance is our most valuable defence against this unjust and politically motivated attack against law abiding citizens. DO NOT GIVE UP. The Gov will always bend to maintain the illusion of control.

There are no loopholes. Even having an ATC doesn't guarantee you'll be allowed to purchase a handgun.

The transfer of ownership of a handgun is entirely at the discretion of Ottawa. Provincial CFOs have no say.

From what I am seeing, Olympic competitors aren't being allowed to purchase anything more than a single .22lr pistol.
 
Only downside to this service, besides the sad fact we need it, is you can't export anything made in Russia or China. Plus no MSR's unless they are made for "sporting use" according to the US or the original importer was IRG.

I personally have quite a few imported from IRG that fit this description. I won't be inquiring until I need to (October).

Some peoples lives don’t revolve around firearms, some people may take that money and say pay off debt, invest, buy a property put into new hobby, help a family member…. The list goes on, if you are a die hard im not giving anything up that is perfectly fine you do you but don’t try and put someone else down if they want to take part to try and get some funding.

What you think is being smart can been seen as very dumb to someone else and vice versa, so best thing is just mind ya business and do you and everyone stays happy :)

The other side of that coin is you cannot comply your way out of tyranny. Taking people's property is not justified. The government is openly acting unethical.

So why should my tax dollars be used to pay off their debt? I get involved when they expect me to foot the bill, how about they say no? Maybe you can help me pay off my debt too, I have a mortgage you can pay.

You need to find other ways to win other than worrying about where your very very very small portion of your taxes are going….. that is a fight you will never win. Everyday tax money is abused this should not be news to anyone.

Pay off your own mortgage and debt don’t complain to me about it.

Here are your options:

1 complain and achieve nothing
2 move somewhere else more friendly to firearms
3 get over it and move on

Your time spend on this planet is quite short.

I do not agree with the recent changes to the firearms law but I find other ways to win.
