I’ve heard Leupold has the same warranty as vortex now is that correct ? If so , ive been looking at the new alpine sx-2 spotter. Has anyone seen the glass on them and how would it stack up to the diamondback HD vortex spotter . Both around the same money

leupold has been around since the late 50's / 60's vortex 😂😂 what years leupold's warranty has been the best in the industry for all those years that being said you very rarely need leupold warranty compared to Vortex don't sell scopes they sell warranty they have been importing china made scope for what 20 years
i was in a gun shop one the sales guy sold a vortex of sum discription he had 3 different scope they all had adjustment issues

You’ll see the same issues with Leupold. If Leupold built its scopes in the USA it would say that on them but it doesn’t.

They rarely fix anything anymore and will send a replacement.

I needed a scope cleaned/re sealed nothing wrong with it mechanically and they couldn’t even do that lol. They just sent a “new” 12 year old scope to me as a replacement, I returned it, f em

That’s interesting. You are not the first person I heard say about this . What are you running now for an optic ?

Leupold & Stevens designs, machines, and assembles all of its riflescopes in Beaverton, Oregon, USA. All of them are made in the USA. Their binoculars are not

Still old used stuff, nxs, Schmidt and bender pmii other than one new march

You’ll run into issues with older Kahles zf 69,84,95 scopes Kahles won’t service them anymore and neither will SODIA - LAGER & LOGISTIK. Same with the Swarovski zfm scopes.

Leupold won’t service any of the older fixed power mark 4 scopes.

S&B idk.

USO idk. Gonna ask this week about their older sn, st scopes and see

Doesn’t matter I guess if all you want is a wall hanger. If you want to use them or keep them functional your sorta 💩 outa luck.

My older brother just sent in a Leupold that I sold him to Korth , a Varix111 8.5-25X IIRC.
Anyway they cleaned it , checked the parallax, and changed the windage turret because he was having issues adjusting it and re-gassed it - no charge.
He is quite happy with it and finds it clearer than his other scope, but I can't remember if it is a Delta or an Athlon.

Well I was lucky… I sent a vxIII 2.5-8 German #1 reticle and something was wrong with it, between every shot I had to play with the magnifying ring to bring back a clear image, sent it to Korth inside of 3 weeks including shipping both ways and my optic was back, fixed, cleaned all lenses and gaz purged all that for free with good communication.
I can’t say vortex is bad regarding warranty but they are not as fast that is for sure and communication is ####, but they warranty there stuff too.
Now, if it doesn’t say made in the USA then it ain’t made in the USA, but I will still buy leupold for my rifle optics!

I guess calling and asking some questions would be in order.
If not satisfied with their reply, call Trace and see if they can fix your issue.
Sometimes paying for the repair and keeping your prized possession is worthy of the expense.

I know Bushnell f****d me out of a nice scope that Trace would of fixed.
