PRE-ORDER: Makasi MK-15 5.56 NATO Sporting Rifle 18.6" Barrel, M-LOK, Folding Stock, MK-15

All depends on what their factory capabilities are. The demand for the oddball MK15 here as opposed the USA is astronomical, and they probably understand that by now. They would do well to ramp up production for at least the next six months...
They could be the “Canadian rifle” or maybe even the “savior of democracy.”

They have the opportunity to pass into folklore should the stars align.

How has this even been approved? Who ever did approve this will ban it afterwards just like all other legal rifles before it? I am just confused at this point

Lib Gov is instructing RCMP to start approving tactical semi-autos again
paving the way for more bans and political narrative
Gov will state there are loop holes in how the law is written because new scary guns still make it through to legal market
"We need to do more"
Blanket ban on all semis is coming within the next 5-7 years.

Unfortunately, this is a very likely scenario.

Yes I know but isint it the same gov that allows these type of semis to be sold on the market? Never understood why they banned rifles that were legally sold and approved by the RCMP in the first place to be banned by the ones who approved them. Feels like they are trolling is hard.

Youzawhale gave a good answer to my question though

Agree with all this except the timeline will be much shorter..

I dont think so.
They'll wait the 12-24 months it'll take to have a Supreme Court decision on the gun grab case (no matter if they win or lose, They have a vote-buying narrative ready).
which will likely bring us to 2028.
Then campaign on more bans for the 2029 election.
Then slow drip for the next 4 years when they get re-elected. Yes, thats also a prediction.

Brigade firearms takes a risk and brings this thing to market seems like it didn’t make much of a splash in the US market even after positive reviews. Innovative and well built by all accounts. It languishes on the shelves with likely slow sales. Then one day it gets an Frt. Owners of Brigade receive orders for thousands. Good on them and good for supporting Canadian market. I wish them all the best and hope they can crank out as many as they can as fast as possible and get rich in the process.

Kinda the same deal with M+M Industries with the M10x. Wasnt very popular in the US, but found a place in the market up here. Too bad they didn't care much for our business. Hopefully Brigade shows more love.

Makes sense, although they don't need more semis to ban. They still have handguns and "rapid fire" tactical levers and straight pulls to target. I firmly believe things will accelerate and they will go after almost everything within your timeline. Also, the supreme Court decision is about the use of OICs. With a majority now fabricated, they can easily legislate bans instead...

I guess we've veered off the topic of this thread. Sorry Bullseye! I do hope you guys sell a TON of these!

I'm sincerely hope this performs better than the first gen m10x (which doesn't take much)..
It will perform better than Mickey Mouse rifle and all these Canadian 180 variants too, but it is not as reliable as your average AR15. Just don't expect it and you won't be disappointed. It takes years and generations even if the chosen path is correct (it is IMO correct in the case of Makasi).

I also jumped on the band wagon, also good for the aftermarket sale for AR platform, trigger packs etc, that being said wait time will accept , as a suggestion to manufacturer, will to pay extra if I can get a 7.62x 39 barrel and bolt as well would think it would increase sales. We have a good stock of 7.62 here in Canada

The AR15’s I own, even the $799 one that I have, run circles around almost everything else side by side let alone taking value per $ spent…
