Lever action 22 recommendations

I'm looking to buy a lever action 22 for cheap plinking fun at the cabin.

I love the look of non "blued" receivers; brass, nickel, steel, especially if it's more of a satin finish.

Any recommendations? I see the Henry Golden Boy mentioned frequently but wondering what the other options in the space are.

Henry for sure, i have a rossi rio bravo and its great, but i think the extra few bucks on the henry are worth it.
(My bother has a henry, so we shoot both side by side often enough)

The new Winchester Ranger has been getting pretty good reviews and has a non blued black type finish.

I really enjoy my Savage Revel. The Browning is a nice rifle, I just find the lever a little too small, unworkable for me if I wear even light gloves.

The only Lever 22 I've ever used was my Dad's old Ithaca with a 15 capacity tube. Have nothing to compare it to, but man was it fun. Worked well and accurate

I'm partial to my Marlin 39.
Had a Henry golden boy, it was accurate but heavy.
The wood/blued plain Henrys are probably the best value available.

Browning BL22, have had one for 30 years must have 50,000 rounds or more through it, never even a small hiccup, my brother had a Henry after 2 hard years in the gopher patch ( maybe 5,000 rounds ) it was loose and sloppy my little browning just chugging along

I've had a couple of Browning Bl-22's over the years and they get my vote. A short smooth lever throw, accurate, long life and highly reliable has been my experience with them.

A lot of people, me included, don't like the short stroke of the BL22.

However, the BL 22 I owned cycled 22BBs reliably, that was impressive.

I have a Browning and a Winchester 94/22. They are both very well made and incredibly smooth. My next lever will probably be a Henry .22 mag.

Another vote for the Browning BL-22 here. I've had mine for 40 years and it was second hand when I got it. Never a fault or failure.

You're welcome. I appreciate everyone's insight! BL-22 does seem to be the consensus. I love the look of the FLD models with the nickel receiver, but the price is pretty steep.
