Why folding butt stocks though? Is it just me, or are they not a really bad feature to build into a rifle? Paratroopers, makes some sense. A whole crew of guys jammed into a tuk tuk somewhere...would be handy, but for 97.8% of the time, are they not just pants on head retarded?

Why not? You could argue it's just one more thing that could go wrong, I suppose. Less moving parts = more reliable/simple... But I'd much rather be able to fold despite all that. Space in the safe is a valid concern, also makes transportation easier. Genuinely unsure if you're rage-baiting, surely you're aware of these benefits.

You ever tried crawling in and out of different armored vehicles while carrying a full stocked C7, M14 or other large firearms?

Folding stocks greatly improve the ability to mount and dismount from vehicles, on top of the storage benefit as well.

Nah guys. The storage transport argument is silly. Making a rifle shorter, but wider won't help you an iota in a locker. It would make it worse actually taking up an extra 1/2 a rifles width. Same goes for transport. It would be different if the barrel was 14" and folding the buttstock made it 16" long I suppose, but that's not the reality here.

Getting in and out of armoured vehicles, no I haven't and I initially said, there is a benefit in that scenario...but this is a commercial variant...so why the folding stock that will wear, will get loose, and that's if the bloody things stay locked when they're supposed to stay locked.

Then there's the whole butt swiping Liberals thing. Breaking the buttstock on some creamfilled snowflake's eggshell head has got to be a problem?

This firearm will receive an FRT as a non restricted from the RCMP
If that is the case
What guarantees I have that this also will not be banned for the Liars

Okay. None of this is about Public Safety. The RCMP baglick the Liberals. They 'allow' and then 'disallow' to discourage us from owning guns and even to vote. "Just buy another type of gun." "Oops that's a variant of our asses." That's the Laurentian plan. It's plain to see.

My friend, the stock folding latch is also part of locking mechanism for bolt. If you suggest changing all that design just to fit your so-called commercial demand, the increased cost will drive you even further from this firearm. If you are not buying, why complaining?

Feel smarter and better for the criticism?

I wouldn't seek logic from policy. If there were any logics, politicians would have lost their jobs long time ago.

If you can afford this sunken expenditure, you buy it. If you can't, don't.

Nonsense. A rifle with a folding stock is much easier to hang on the inside of a gunsafe door. Yeah, it's wider, but that entire width is up high where it will not interfere with the "regular" rifles standing up in the safe.

If you've ever had a hunting rifle stowed in your vehicle while at a remote jobsite, so that you could go hunting between work wraps...not that I would ever have bent the jobsite rules that way, just saying "if"...then the folding option may come in very handy depending upon how you are packing it away. Sometimes a short overall length matters much more than width, so folding is good. A folder can be left unfolded if desired; a non-folder has no other options.

A folded rifle, packed in the much shorter case that configuration allows, is much easier and more convenient to carry around an airport than a full-length gun as well.

I am so happy to see this Epstein carbine ready for sale, and such generosity to allow us to buy it and make some shekels before they take them away.
Just in case inshallah we plan to use them as it was intended.

I generally think that if there isn’t anything mechanical running through the stock, like a buffer spring, it should fold and be adjustable for length.

I’d prioritize adjustable LOP over folding though - body armour, winter jackets, rain gear, etc. all change fit enough that adjustment is required. I like a particularly short stock, even tho I’m a 6’3” beanpole.

I do not like the AK underfolder style though. Besides the CDI (chicks dig it) factor, they’re kind of a nuisance in actual use and I prefer a fixed stock on T81 and AK pattern rifles.

From the photos, this one at least looks pretty well engineered.
