Botnia muzzle brake

Would like to see some testing like this to take the guesswork out of the differences / advantages:

It would be great to see some real numbers and facts, but sometimes they can be misleading as well. The video series below best describes my experience and how complicated it actually is: even if recoil force is mitigated, the sight picture doesn’t automatically become more stable, and the perceived recoil might not necessarily decrease. This experience has taught me to more heavily value muzzle blast reduction over just recoil force. Ultimately, it’s up to each individual…..if you haven’t seen the series below it’s very interesting.

Follow-up: Today I had the opportunity to test the Botnia Midi on my 25 Creed, a 12-pound rifle running a Hellfire Match. The recoil improvement was significantly more pronounced on this rifle compared to my Dasher, and the concussion was also reduced. This performance is much more encouraging than the last. I’ll still try it on the 7PRC to see if the benefits persist as the powder charge increases.

Curiosity got the best of me...

is that the guts to that brake by channce??
and.It is sectional by threaded joins or CRIMP/COMPRESSION JOINTS??

or is the Top a CHAD muzzle brake?

I've heard people received their CHAD in little curved, guess that's some manufacturing flaw in the welding process?
there is a possibility in that as welding ...no matter the process warps metal.
Some metals more then others.
EVEN the pinpoint plasma cutter/laser cuttter/ water jet will also....not always thickness and cooling help drastically.

I would like to know the weld process involved using the laser...to see for warping issues.

**update**
from what I can find in process they have a good process....
Post-Weld Solution Annealing (Stress Relieving), Controlled Gas Quenching, Plasma Nitriding & DLC Coating.

GOLD STANDARD in welding Is to HEAT STRESS THE whole unit WHEN POSSIBLE,
if the unit is too large at least heat stress the metal out far enough to where the virgin metal was not affected by the weld

Interested how your homemade version is going?
I wouldn’t hold your breath!!! On a side note I watched a video of a gun ,6 dasher, with an empty round sitting on top of a Botnia while firing the gun the empty case stayed standing on top of the brake. Impressive would be an understatement!!

That does sound impressive - got a link?

a unique hybrid process...this Botnia:
basically it is metal printing refinded with FULL PRODUCT HEAT STRESS followed by CNC MACHINING.

THE vid is nothing to dance or parade about cause its done with a 6.5 creed, they need to do it with a MAG ROUND;
but it is a clever demonstration of physics rather than absolute magic.
AlwayS look at what THEY DONT SAY....

LOOK inside one real close and ask Why the internals are rough and not smooth ported to INCREASE fundemental port exhausting.

Ever run an engine rough ported
and a exact.twin
ported.and.polished.

the smooth one kick back-sides.and takes.names.

That rough porting is an issue

It was taken with an IPhone and showed to me while I was in Saskatchewan for a couple weeks shooting gophers, badgers and coyotes! It was pretty impressive to watch. I don’t own a Botnia but have a bunch of other brakes like Heathens and Area 419. They’re round so kinda hard to try with one of them!!IMG_3831.jpeg
