Savage 10FCP McMillan

Hi there,

A buddy of mine is looking for one of these in Canada. Anyone know of any retailers (sponsors or otherwise) out there that have them currently in stock? He called Frontier already and they can get one, but it'll take 1-2 months.

OK, didn't know. Besides, they offered him a good price: 950$. I'll tell him to stick with Frontier unless something unexpectedly comes up in this thread.

Marlin at Frontier is a great guy and he'll make sure everything goes smooth.

But back on topic... I know realize I was thinking of the wrong one. I thought you were talking about the package deal with the scope, case, rifle and the HS stock. Sorry.

Check the model for $950.

For a McMillan stock, that sounds kinda cheap.

$950 is a good price. That's what I paid for mine a couple of years ago. Wholesale Sports now list them for a $1100 on their website.

Just an FYI, Epps has the HS Precision version in stock....in case that made the shortlist. They'll probably have the Mc's in soon.

What is the diameter of the barrel at the muzzle?

The Diameter at the muzzle is slightly bigger than .8" around the same as the rem700PSS. it got a very tight chamber at 2.803 with loading 168grain BTHP Hornady.

The 10FCP has a McMillan A5 stock not an A3 like the 10FP Mac.

Holy thread resurrection... I got PM'd about a Savage and I'm thinking "huh?" and I see this thread is active. As for the $950, my buddy called Frontier and that's what they told him (maybe they thought he meant HS?).
