From Brigade. I've now sent a follow up email asking if the 15" hand guard will be available separately for purchase and if it will be fully compatible to replace the standard 12" hand guard.. Will update when I hear back.

Does anyone know if SFRC is doing or will do a preorder for the 15” version in FDE?

I'll keep my Uxbridge preorder. I prefer the 12" handguard, as I have a big girthy reverse-mounted faux suppressor that hides the dumb long barrel, and looks much more natural on the shorter handguard.
It seems from all of the discussion that the guns are the same irrespective of where they are coming from for the "upgrades" (steel barrel nut, modified handguard to avoid the charging handle), but the handguard length and cerakote colour are specific to each importer.
It does feel like a bit of a mess of a launch, however. The folks that frequently warn against participating in pre-orders to avoid confusion are right again.

They made rolling changes to all Makasi Mk15 rifles as far at the QC goes.
NS has the exclusive on the longer handguard variant in both black and FDE at this time, while Gravel is bringing in the shorter handguard variant, all of them should have updated QC and improvements over the earlier one that was posted here with glaring QC issues. It comes down to handguard length and color primarily and suggested ETA.
