Looking for do it all rifle.

sounds interesting, any pics? which maker?
Buddy just built a high seat, I told him this is what he needs
Here you go,
This Insert barrel is a "Fritz" made in Germany a highly precision Instrument fully adjustable for elevation and Windage. Furthermore, once you open the Action of the Drilling, all Barrels have an Extractor which pulls the Shell or fired Casing out of its Barrel.

The come for 12 and 16 Ga in different Calibers but my preference is the .22 Hornet. Presently I have 2 more coming for my Drillings.
I do have a coupple fully adjustable Krieghoff short Insert Barrels I could part with,RIMG2880.JPGRIMG2881.JPGRIMG2882.JPG both are in 16 Ga / .22 Winchester Magnum.

Without the Insert Barrel, my private Drilling is a 16 Ga & 16 Ga and 7X65 R which is very simmilar to the 270 Win.
When I put the Insert Barrel in I hthen have a 16Ga and a .22 Hornet and a 7X65R. Whatever presents itself, I am ready for it.

Cheers

The do-it-all calibre for North America is the .30-06. (Throw the great bears into the mix and the answer is the same as it is for world-wide - the .375 H&H.) The best rifle ever made on this continent, arguably, is the Winchester Model 70. From inception up until and including 1963 models. Here's one circa 1949 in .30-06, available now on one of the Canadian gun trading sites for a very good price. (Not mine and no i don't know the seller, but if i needed an ought six I suspect it would no longer be for sale.) It's even got a Lyman peep so you don't necessarily have to clutter-up perfection with a scope. Given your parameters, i think it would be virtually impossible to do better than this or anywhere near as good for that matter in another rifle:

I have an R1 benelli in 308 , only used on the bench / gently , for grabs ….. seems to prefer factory ammo over handloads actually, is light and recoil dampening thingy / gimmick in butt stock.

Lpvo 1-10 x scope for close or far

Better hunting rig then what i wanted it for. First 2 shots are in the same hole at 100. After that barrel heat dispersion acts on it

Extra mags. 10 rounders pinned to 5ive

Its an ideal do all rifle. Barrels a bit thin for 3 gun work is all ….. since we cant use much else

Anyone else interested….. message

If target shooting is a thing and you want to do well at longer range, and still have a rifle that is portable enough to hunt, the Roughtech series of Tikka T3x come to mind. Hard to find a better/more reliable action, medium weight barrel, etc. Still not a very heavy rifle. Available in stainless.

Plenty of good chamberings.

Not quite a "do all" as you can not hunt with it in Southern Ontario.
