IWI Carmel 5.56 18.6" Non-Restricted - COMING SOON

....and reduce a bit of weight out there.

I haven’t found the faux brakes to reduce a whole lot of weight. They do seem to balance aesthetics of the long barrel out quite a bit tho.

I’ve got the 16ā€ version and haven’t removed the break but I heard they have a bit of a funky threading.

Now I feel compelled to fit one. šŸ¤”

I wonder how much a TNA reverse fake can would weigh over the factory brake? That would improve the aesthetics at least.

I was replying to someone talking about flash hiders.

I watched a video of TNA's on the Carmel and they confirmed it's 1/2 x 28 and fitted one of their modular fake cans on it no problem.

I like the look of the reverse fake can... but I also don't like the idea of all that extra weight hanging off the end.... We'll see. Need the rifle in my hands first to decide lol.

looking at something like this

Not sure a brake is actually needed on a heavy rifle like this in 5.56.

This is a new offering from S&J. I will be trying. It's only 1.5" total length (they sell a 2" version too). So once you thread it on its only protruding 3/4 inch or so.

Directing the blast and noise forward instead of back and sideways seems better to me. We'll see.
