Had a chance to use the brand new US Optics Spotting Scope in Summerland this last weekend.

Rick from ATRS has likely the first one into Canada. This is a first focal plane spotting scope which is built around your choice of US Optics reticles (MILS or MOA).

Its built solid enough to pound nails with, has a variable power objective topping out at 40 power, is cristal clear (comparable to my S&B Scope as far as glass quality), and allows for immediate corrections from your spotter.

It was so nice to have your spotter aiming at your target of choice and providing instant/accurate feedback on windage and elevation corrections.

Best part is this baby comes in around or just under a grand!:D:dancingbanana:

I've used both the Swaro, Leupold, Pentax, Nikon spotting scopes and only the Swaro has comparable glass. None have a reticle or are first focal plane. The Swaro was over twice the price of the USO.

If your presently looking at quality spotting scope, take a look at this one before you buy!

Perhaps ATRS or Glock-O-Maniac will post some pics.

Take care

Checked out the scope on there site. Looks very solid. I'd be interested in the reticle designs and what is the most popular?. Good find.

Well the nice thing is that you can have what ever you like. I'm all MIL (reticles and adjustments) thus I would get a MIL reticle. If your MOA, get an MOA reticle, then all your calls / corrections are give to you in MOA.

Ryan, I'm glad you brought that up. I think we've ordered 12 so far and all but 2 or 3 are spoken for. U.S.O. hurried to get us this one especially for Summerland so we'll all have to be patient but they know we're serious by the amount of money we've sent them to place the order. We're still waiting for them to send us an invoice on the one we were using on the weekend and then we'll have a landed cost but we figured it would be very close to the 1,000 mark landed but don't quote me yet.
I'll try to take some better pics the next time we're out shooting but these are looking at the 800yd scuba tanks.

I'd try and fight the urge to buy one but it would be a waste of time. I'm slowly coming to grips with the fact I'll be parting with the funds for one.

I managed to dig up a couple pics.

Yours is ordered:dancingbanana: Complete with milscale reticle.
Price is $950.00 CDN plus gst
There will be flip up caps available soon, pricing when they become available.

would the scopes be available without reticles? would be nice just for spotting deer and such

Even for hunting deer and such, as long as your hunting scope has 1/4 click turrets, you'd be able to range your animal a lot better with the MOA reticle but each to their own I guess.

It is an awsome spotting scope, I hope Im counted as one of the ones on the list. MOA of course minus the camo tape.:D

You TOO are covered Bro!
I thought the camo tape would be good for protection, who knew it would get sticky in the heat??? It came off nicely though.
I figured I would get you a special 1 in a custom color, I know your favorite color already, so you did not have to ask.:D

Can't wait to see one of these. Anybody who doubts the advantage of a spotter looking through a scope w/ the same reticle as the shooter needs to try it. I've got a buddy w/ a Premier equipped Leupold FFP mildot. We had the folks a Storm Mountain wondering how the hell we were correcting so fast until Rod spilled the beans. The USO offering should be flat out fantastic. Price point is impressive too...

Hey Rick, we could just send the custom crayola crayons with the spotting scope along with some pre-cut stencils and Brian could add color as needed.
