Dlask Arms

I have 3 Dlask rifles (2 complete and 1 rifle built on a Dlask lower) I have had zero issues with any, although the mag well is tight on one but for a fun gun I'm not worried. I am happy with mine YMMV.

I would scrap the Dlask idea and go with either an LMT or Stag. IMO they are both higher quality rifles for about the same, if not less, money. Personal preference is a big factor though...you are the one who is going to be waking-up in the middle of the night to go look at it.

Dlask has always treated me right..... always done exceptional work on all my guns. He built me a 8.5inch AR form the ground up. That litle beast never jammed up once, and we all know how finicky short barrelled AR's can be. If i need work done that i can't do myself on my bench at home..... the ONLY smith/weapons crafter that touches my firearms..... is Joe Dlask...... period

I don't own a Dlask and regardless of their bad rep on the board, 2k for a standard AR is wayyyyyyy over priced! Get a Stag from Walt, you'll have enough left to get a nice Eotech.

Had some work done by Dlask, excellent is the way I would describe it! On time, fair price and quality workmanship.

Well, got my rebarelled upper back (see post# 25) and they did send a NEW bolt carrier assembly (which has the more modern upgraded extractor spring)as my original never did appear. There was no word/instruction on it if it was headspaced etc., to this particular barrel. Not willing to risk my face being blown off, I took it down to my local gunsmith, who thankfully is experienced with the AR series. Headspace was fine but gas tube alignment was "mildly" off...not apparently enough to cause malfunction but perhaps wear out one side of the gas tube over time. $30 and a mild adjustment later and it was off to the range. The piece was reliable and accurate....federal match shot average .86" ( three X 3 shot groups at 100 m). Ball ammo (Winch 55 gr and 62 gr respectively) averaged 1.12" and 1.5" respectively. Only 2 groups of each (time constraints) were shot using a 9 magnification scope.
I was able to zero the iron sights this time (as on the first rebarrel I had run out of elevation and windage adjustment and couldn't zero the upper).
It took a long time, but I'm happy now, and I give them some credit for that. Everyone messes up at some time or other and how errors are handled reveals alot about who poeple are. Mr Dlask's company does need to address QC problems... if he does they will do well as Canada needs knowledgeable in house AR/military rifle gunsmiths.
