I am waiting for my CFSC test to come back to me in the mail so I can send it with my PAL application.

What is the average wait time everyone in here has waited to get their PAL in the mail from the day the mailed out their application?

Does anyone know if I NEED to send the CFSC marked test with the application? Or can I send that carbon copy sheet I got when I took my hunters Ed. course... if you know what I am talking about...

thanks for your responses.

i am curious. why the wait for the test. usually i do it right there. if it is a big class i might mail it out later that week. any how yes you have to send the results in with your application. processing can take anywhere from t20 weeks to 6 months. once it is processed is held an additional 28 days for a colling off period. average time seems to be running about 3 - 4 months out west.

Now in Onterrible, the application first has to be PRE-approved my the Ont CFO. Then they send it back to you, only THEN can you sent it to the CFC, wait your month and a half, and then they send it BACK to the CFO for final approval. Super dumb process bumps up the wait time to well over 2 months now. Just another way to deter the public from getting PAL's I guess.

I have to wait 3-4 months? No, I know I passed. But apparently they have to send the test in, and then have it sent back to me and it says 'marked' with an official stamp.
so, I can't actually buy my gun for 3-4 months? Doing things the illegal way seem easier :S

Yes it took over 2 months to get mine, one month just waiting to get the test results......then they do their reference checks they have to talk to you to confirm what you said in the application.....then you may get it a couple weeks after it was approved.......

Go figure, it would have been easier for them just to send it straight to the CFC ... but whatever, Ontario sucks. Period. Just like DC sucks in the US.

I blame it on being where the lawmakers live.

2 months seems better than 4.
I Igot my ex g.f (conjugal partner I lived with) to sign my form.
THe next day her new b.f. came to my parents house with her and complained saying I was trying to cut them off. Yada yada, what do you think the chances are they will call her?

CP took 2 weeks to get my application out from BC to the other side of the Country. From there my app was approved in about 2 weeks. They called both my references. 29 days after arrival, the license was in the mail back to me and I'm hoping to see it in a few days, provided CP does better at delivering the mail heading west.;)

this is exact...

Took exactly 45 days, many phone calls and a one on one interview with my local CFO for my Application to be approved. Now I'm just waiting on the Postal service.

Yup same thing here. When I did my PAL it was the old system where the instructor simply gives you the report and you mail it in.

When I went for my RPAL the instructor kept the report, mailed it to the CFO, and it came back to me about a month later with a pretty blue stamp.

I'm thankful, but also curious as to why mine was issued so quickly. I got my Restricted\Non-Restricted PAL issued in 25 days, and in my mailbox a week and a half after that. I have a friend that had to wait 4 months for his PAL to get issued.

I am using Xpresspost. It gets there overnight for $7.60:) Well worth it to same some time. I would have paid to have it Xpresspost'ed back if there was that option.

I took my PAL/R-PAL courses back on Feb 9-10. Sent my results to the Ontario CFO immediately, and did not receive my audited confirmation of my test results until March 17. Sent my application to Marimachi, the received it on 20, and the Feds processed the application, and their website said the review had been completed and the issued by April 16. The website also said that it had been mailed out and should arrive within 2 weeks, meaning arrival SHOULD be this week...

Once that comes in I get to enter the lovely world of waiting for ATTs and transfers which should be many more weeks/months of waiting.

If she signed the form. They will probably call her....Doesn't look to good for you....if she mentions to them, that you tried to cut them off.

I sent in my renewal. It was signed for and it was on the system about a week later. Under status it was "137" (I think). And about a week after that it was stated that it had completed initial processing. So I assume it should be about a week for it to get "initially processed" and on the system
