Bass Pro has got another shipment of .223 in stock. They have imposed a 5 brick limit on quantities. Something to do with people buying 20- 30 bricks at a time.

A brick is a case of 10 boxes of 20 = 200 rounds. In other words they are limiting you to 1000 rounds per trip.

You guys are lucky in Toronto. Ammo in Vancouver is very expensive because of less competiton. Reliable is selling 500 rounds of 9mm for 145 dollars plus taxes. I am looking for mega stores like Bass Pro, Wholesales Sports...etc. open up in Vancouver.

I just called and it's all sold out. The guy actually sounded kinda pissed off that it got posted on here. He also sounded annoyed that people were coming in and buying 20-30 cartons. "Those aren't shooters, they're dealers" was the comment.

What ? our Canadian dealers buying it all up ? then telling us that cause of the war there is none ?

I hope another truck load comes in!!! at some point the market will be saturated then the dealers that are harding it will be stuck... serves you right.

My friends and I got the last 12 cases :) that price can't be beat though

funny looks on peoples faces as we cashed out $800 bucks of .223 !!!

THOUGHT THERE WAS A 5 BRICK MINIMUM?

It's the clerks in the gun department, a few months ago I went and they had 15 cases reserved for someone, these also happened to be the last cases. When I asked if they would reserve some for me next time they said store policy doesn't allow it, when I said well then why are those cases reserved I was told one of the clerks reserved it for someone on his own. They let me take 2.

Tell me about the crap these people are spewing at Bass Pro, they are limiting sales from the managers mouth today, because they wish to be fair for people who purchase the ammunition, I suppose if I wanted to buy 10 boats they would limited that also. I have an appointment with the store manager tomorrow on the phone, as the guy working today was just a flunky. I have read all of their corporate policy and nothing says limits unless it is an advertised special, when I am done I also intend to phone head office in the US, to ask if they are now working on behalf of the Liberal governments agenda to limits our ammunition purchases. I was prepared to buy all the ammunition today in stock, as a favour to a couple of friends that cannot make the trip all the time, I will post the outcome tomorrow from the phone call - side bar when I asked him to buy 25 cases of OO buck he had no problem with that.

I kinda agree with the limit. More on the basis of fairness. Let other people have a chance to purchase.
Not everyone owns an AR or uses CGN.
Buy your 1000 and go back later.(we know more shows up every week or so) It's been doing that since last fall.

Even I don't buy all the ammo when I am there.

One of the older guys also told me guys come in and buy it all to re-sell.
I guess someone made a comment or actually said they could/will sell it for more. I guess that pissed them off and they put a limit on.

oh well.
