African Game

National Geographic makes a good documentary style drama of it, and helps you to identify what is actually happening, but it's unfortunate that they removed the buffalo's vocalization. I get a shot of adrenalin when ever I hear that sound.

I like the original better as well, more action less yakking. Two months less a day and I'll be back on the plane, a couple more days and hopefully I'll be back inside a herd, trying to squeeze my rifle stock down to the diameter of a broomstick.:D The sights, sounds, dust and suspense are a real rush.

Sheephunter,
The Sengwe 11 area of Zimbabwe, mainly for elephant and a chance at multiple buffalo. Plains game I'll play by ear, given the time and opportunity at something that I want or is too good to turn down. This stuff seems to work better when you don't plan the hell out of it.

Wow, sounds like an awesome trip...I'm jealous!

I've got Namibia booked for '09 but it seems sooooo far away.

I want to see lots of pics...even a few holes from solids! ;)

Thanks Boomer...I had no intention of hunting elephant or buff with the .30 cals. It's strictly a plains game hunt. I'll take my .375 or 416 if I'm going for buff or elephant in the future. Dangerous game opportunities are pretty limited in Namibia but it is the ideal destination for plains game.

BTW, Namibia has no minimum calibre requirements for dangerous game but I guess at some point common sense should dictate.

I'll put up a few pictures, always do. You know how they say the waiting is half the fun? Ain't true, waiting sucks.;) I'm taking A-Frames and Banded Solids for .375 and .416.

You lucky bugger Dogleg.:D I have to wait for April '09 ...... and I'm already packed
