Well everyone it's official Mr. Friendly and I have passed out RPALs. Practical 98% and written 100% for me. Mr. Friendly Dropped the ball getting 98% and 92% (you see where he dropped the ball?) Anyways finish printing our pictures and finish up some paper work and tomorrow it should all be sent off to the government to sit in exile for the next 30 days.

I guesss I get my paperwork back in 2 weeks tops and then ill probably wait for quite some time afterwards for the little plastic card :)

Until then my S&W .22 exists in my imagination :D

Congrats!

:sniper:

Me getting a hand gun....oh boy will that be fun. I really only took it so if I apply at wholesales outfitters I could work in the firearms department that way I could get an employee discount. ;)

all that means is your are now working for free. if you work at a gun store with a discount a deal just becomes a bigger deal.

not sure what you're suggesting, Reid...but CK and I are brothers. I'm the eldest and he's the little one :) we took our PAL, RPAL & CORE together so we had moral support and actually find ourselves with a hobby/interest we could share (I'm a geek/nerd computer/astronomy enthusiast...he likes guns). :)

took CORE 2 weeks ago, PAL last week and RPAL yesterday and everything was in the highe 90 percentile, but for my buffoonery on the RPAL written. I should have erred on the side of caution with all the questions because I guessed perhaps they were trick questions or fishing to see how one would respond. alas, I didn't do well!

now to finish our paperwork and then get our licenses and then acquire some nice .22LR rifles to teach ourselves how to shoot on! :D

Congrats. Handguns are shorter than rifles. Just remember when the buddy-next-door's fire-hot cartridge from his semi-auto goes down your neck keep the pointy end pointed at the target and not at buddy (still proudly display the Winchester brand just south of my ear)

Grats on passing! I passed my PAL & RPAL like a few months ago but really never got around to sending in my application until about a week ago lol! I got 100% practical/98% written for my RPAL and 100% practical/96% for my PAL. I'm absolutely stoked to get my license! I want my AR15 so I can have the time of my life!!:sniper:
Anyways, I have a question... how long does it usually take to receive your license? Approx. 6-8 weeks? Also, after that time period is over, do they just send you a license or do you need to do other things?
Thanks!
Brian
EDIT: First Post! woohooooo

Digging up my old thread. Got a call from the CFO about my RPAL application seems they were wondering why a newbie would want one but for employment purposes seemed to have worked as its the truth. If I get approved how long till I should see my Licenses in the mail?

Purchased one gun in the process of purchasing the hunting gun.

Mine arrived one week and one day after it was issued. My friends took two weeks and one day. I think they only send out mail once a week.

SWEET just checked out my application again and this is what I saw
Current Status: Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canada Firearms Centre Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)
mmmmmmm I can smell the marinated gopher kabobs over an open fire. Can't wait 2 weeks max and this Dutchman will be out begging to shoot other peoples guns in exchange for shooting mine. Today is exactly 27 days.
