What gimmick/gadget you bought was a wate of money?

The only use I can see for that thing is for those that truly like to play in ####. Just take the meat that you want to eat off the animal and don't mess around with #### and guts. Yes, one can remove the hinds, fronts, back straps, neck meat, rib skirt etc without stiking your fingers up it's arse.

As far as the most useless thingy, for me it's my bi-pod. That POS is too short when sitting, too long for prone. Maybe I'm just not built right :D

I bought one of those puller things last year to bring to the camp. It more or less worked on two of the three deer we tried it on (practice helps I guess), but the laughing by those of us watching our "deer gutter" using it was worth every cent and more that it cost (yes, we have one guy who actually seems to enjoy cleaning deer).

.22 cal bird shot s**t bullets!!!
30/30 , ..hmmm... those varmint s**t things with the thing that looks like a sabot, exellerators i believe they were called.

22 bird shot works great to whack rodents at close range...And shoot pidgeons in barns. Pretty much what they are designed to do. Not much good at grouse hunting or anything else.:)

When I bought them they were advertized at our local shop as "Standing still,on the run or on the wing"

10 yrds maybe

Even federal said it was for varmints, predators and small game. if you're close enough to a grouse to use this stuff, just hit him with the stock.

Been searching my memory (or at least what's left of it !) and so far, have come up empty. Way too pessimistic for most of those "must-have wonder thingys. Tried, tru & proven or forget it ! My deer camp buddy "Gizzmo" on the other hand ... bet he's got you all beat in spades !

Bought one of those 870 magazine end caps with a protruding rod out front that you push in to reduce the mag tube capacity to two when you want to go hunting . Besides being plastic and prone to breakage it only works one way to have to take the endcap off to reset it to full capacity.

Deer drag
Deer cart (useless, and made me so angry I beat it up against a tree, and lugged the deer out by hand)
knight and hale calls
cheap wal-mart turkey call
Fishing pole holders (Push it into the ground and it holds your pole, unless of course most of the shore fishing is hard or rocky territory.. it bends and snaps like a POS)
some no name scent remover for clothing (no scent my rear.. I couldn't stand the smell of the clothes and had to re wash them several times to get the stench out!)

A Winchester with a Boss system.
Winchester bolt rifles (late model) and their warranty adventures.
Browning and Ruger semi auto 22s...flame away.
Tasco and Bushnell scopes.
Bausch and lame zoom binos
Sellier&Belliot (SP) ammunition
Membership to NAHC
FC brass
Gimmic skinning knives
Add the 6mm and .277 cal rifles I've had too. lol

I spent $300 bucks on a thermal game finder......It is absolutely useless. They detect any change of temperature....So if there's a puddle of water or a cold or warm spot anywhere on the ground, that is where it will take you.

Radians electronic ear protectors that started howling, crackling and then finally quit first time they got damp duck hunting.

It's real, I have seen one. I don't see the point of the stupid thing though and even if it does work it looks like a pain in the a$$ to clean after its been shoved up one.
