For the sake of everyone here please do not post another "Is the 30-06 going to kill the moosie, or should I buy a .362 Remchestuger Super Consumer" thread after this one. Please don't. Because I will come up there and take the b@lls you are obviously not using away from you until you promise me you will never do this again.
As for the question, no it won't kill a deer. Because you will obviously start second guessing all of your decisions when you eventually do see a deer, and by time you decide to do something, the deer will be long gone. Then you will come back to your computer and ask us all something stupid like "and there the deer was, but he left before I could shoot it. Should I get some Scent-Smasher clothes and bathe myself in Smell-Like-Pine-and-Poop deodorizing body wash, and only brush my teeth with baking soda and rabbit pellets so they can't detect me so quickly anymore? Should I? Please answer..."
Read the signature at the bottom of my post. PM that guy and see what he thinks...(just shoot something already, its like a 14-year-old virgin asking for ### advice).

Ok, all sarcasm aside, I've done it, it works, I used 170gr Winchester softpoints.
