How accurate realistically have you guys found the VZ. I am considering ditching my sks-d and picking one up. The sks-d I can't hit much with the irons on it. It is very inconsistant.

With irons (and I have not tried that hard nor sighted the rifle in) 3"-4" @ 100 M. I have to sight it in properly.

I reload for my cz858. I use a 155 grain .311 cast bullet from lee, over 27 grains of H4895. Kicks brass out so hard they land almost 20 feet in front of me and have a good size dent in them.

I'm going to try my CZ 858 out deer hunting this year. I plan on going with Hornady's 123 gr sp with nearly a case full of H322 for about 2,200 fps. Not exactly a bean field rifle, but I can't see why it wouldn't shoot through a deer at 75 - 100 yards. A shorter mag would be nice as others have mentioned, but I think the longer mag does help my off hand shooting. The bayonet will stay off:D

I like the sound of this. If I was set up to cast bullets, I would give this a try.
