The wild west is a whole other world. Why Ontario keeps voting Liberal is beyond me. But yes undoubtedly Ontario and Quebec will vote in another Liberal federal government sooner or later, and then we'll all be screwed.

Talk about deja-vu (and how's that for french).Why do these things always have their genesis in Quebec? I well remember starting down the slippery slope on this back in 1978 when the Trudeau crowd decreed the M1 Carbine evil and subject to registration for no reason other than that it was the current weapon of choice for the Montreal underworld.
Think about it a little more and reflect on the various incidents which have happened in Quebec and spurred on the drive for more controls-Lortie the mad corporal who shot up the Quebec legislature,Lepine who did the Ecole Polytechnique,Fabricant,the mad professor,and more lately Gil,the Dawson College lunatic.Extrapolate a bit more and consider the Jamaican community in Toronto and it's drug,crime.and gun problems and the various oriental/Indo Canadian/aboriginal drug gangs across the rest of the country.If the Libs really want to do some constructive social engineering they should take a look at all of these minorities and get a handle on just why they are so unsuccessful at socializing so many of their young males.But hey,let's stick with the obvious and simple solution of taking away all the guns. It seems so much more just and equitable,and well,just plain liberal.
 
I think I will start my own party, and the first I'd do when I get in is lock up all Liberals in work camps.... Who's going to vote for us?? Also, I would drop the prohib thingy and anyone who passes a back ground check will be able to buy full autos again, at get to shoot them as well.

Sounds like the Third Reich except with more guns. I might rethink the work camps and legalize all drugs. Drug users are just more paper-criminals who aren't committing a crime merely by ruining their health with substances.

They commit violence because the drugs are illicit. If they were legal and cheap and available at the corner store, no one would need to kill over them.
 
Well, I sure hope I don't run into any a$$es who hunt and shoot and vote Lieberal this election. I may have to get irate and kick them in their private parts! It is surprising all across Canada how many hunters and gun owners still vote LIEberal just because they always voted that way. Grrrrrrrrrr. That really frosts my a$$! There must be enough firearm owners in this entire country to swing the election into a majority. Let's see what happens. If the Liberals ever get in again before the registry is crippled, we are so screwed.

When my conservative MP gets re-elected (because he probably will) I will write to him suggesting new legislation that prohibits the introductions of bans that aren't legislated (i.e. banning certain types of firearms). A ban on anything must be made into a bill and the party introducing the bill must make the effort to fully educated the public about the ins and outs of the subject in such away that the public is not given a one-sided (i.e. guns are evil; or making MP3 of CDs you purchased hurts artists) argument about the subject.

Failure to do so should result in the bill being shelved before a vote.

Wait a minute...isn't that the way the system is supposed to work?

And, isn't there a law in this country that prevents people from being charge with a crime if it wasn't a crime when the act was committed? So should we be grandfathered, because my M1 wasn't prohibited or banned when I bought it....

My goal is to buy as many guns with: Pistol grips, collapsable stocks, bayonet lugs, detachable magazines, and threaded muzzle breaks as possible. Nothing pisses of a Lieberal more.
Im thinking the MKB42(H) would have all but on of those characteristics. :)
 
As I recall, the Canadian national anthem has a line that "we stand on guard for thee." That just doesn't apply to the police and army - it applies to everyone who believes in Canada. Seems to me that the Liberals are being very anti-Canadian if they don't allow responsible Canadians like us GunNutz to defend the country in a proper manner. I'll be keeping my semis, thank you.
 
I would recommend someone out there should speak with their MLA regarding the provincial governments ability to access the federal government's files (namely the CFC registry) to ascertain who owns what. I do not believe they legally have access to that information, but it would be worth checking on.
On top of that provincial legislation can not prohibit ownership of an item that is legal in Canadian federal law, however they can prohibit possession. If worse comes to worse make arrangements with friends out of province to store your rifles until the courts can sort this out.
