Like deer hunters all over the province, my house is now decorated with piles of gear, and piles of food for the deer camp.
In fact, my house has becomes a series of trails between these piles. Both my wife and I hunt, and we also get the food for camp, so it's a big deal.
I'm loading my Jeep and trailer early Saturday, I wonder where I will sit.
Good luck everyone, and see you in two weeks.

Good luck guys, I get out the two weekends of the hunt, should be fun as usual.

Remember to bring along a piece of rope or leash and take care of those lost dogs, they are somebodies pet.

I just hunt down the road for this coming weeks shotgun\muzzle loader season, so don't have to pack a lot of gear or food.:)

The week after, it's Manitoba, for their opener rifle season, YeeHaaa!!!...:D

Best of luck to all of you, and play safe....:)

I went out tonight to Bass Pro to get ammo... I am not going until the second week but I am up all nights thinking about hunting.... Good luck to everyone....

Dont forget the pictures when you return...

have fun guys good luck!

I picked up a truck load of apples and shot a box of ammo out of my Remington .300wm just to make sure its spot on ;).......

Went out to the farm and checked for sign and there are scrapes everywhere I made a few of my own and put some tinks power scrap spray in them.....checked my trail cams some bruisers are now appearing during shooting light.

Good luck to all that are heading out next week. It seems sadistic to be looking as forward to freezing my a$$ off in the stand Monday morning - but bring it on!!

Leaving for camp next Wednesday. Two of the boys will be heading out Tuesday to get everything set up so when my buddy and I arrive, all we'll need to do is hit the sack (we're leaving Thunder Bay for Kenora around 9:30pm, should put us in camp around 2:00 am) and get up for brekki. Can't wait. Looks like some good weather this year too.

Good luck to all. We have two new hunters joining our camp. One about 33years old first year to a the deep woods and a young guy hunting under the Mentor program with his Dad. Should be a good hunt.

I can't wait been to the range 2 days in a row now......can't decide which gun gets to kill this year! Testicles, specticles, wallet and watch......hunter orange, gun, tag and tinks ..........Good luck all.

Around here "lost" dogs are taken care of by whatever you have loaded in the chamber.

Good luck to all in Ontario though.:50cal:

Interesting, that's what we do with looser hunters that butt in on our land & hunt by themselves because they can't be civil enough to join a gang or guys that don't treat our dogs civil!

Luck to all, I'm only 15 minutes by truck to our camp & 10 by 4whr!
So I don't do a big pack just carry an armfull at a time as I visit this weekend. Hopefully I'll be all moved in by sunday night.

Now I just have the same problem I have every year....
What guns to take
.250 or .280 Ruger 77 for morning or evening stands??
M-100 in 308 or M-81 Rem in .300s for when the flock of deer come running by my watch??
A 1899 Sav 38-55 or 1899 30-30 or 1899 25-35 just because some old girls deserve to get out too :)
