Some have learned long ago not to expect anything from this thread but "bumps"

It will never die because there are the types that think it is funny to keep bumping it.

Without motivation of threads like these, we wouldn't have anything to fight for. I think we should still be inspired to fight and not be complacent to sit idely by and let the politicians and RCMP do what they will, just because.

you mean like this??

ok folks, let me get serious for a minute. I usually get a good kick out of seing this thread on top again but this time I feel really sorry for all who genuinely want this rifle on the market in Canada.

Try understanding motives that drive RCMP and politicians to ban all cool looking firearms. This is because of their LCF, sure, people who buys them aren't really after shooting grouse or rabbits. It is for impersonating whatever it is you think you are when you have MP5 in your hands. Risks of someone making another scene in another school someday are higher with those firearms on the market.

Cosmetic resemblance is everything for buyers and thats exactly reason mounties want to ban them. The more you want it, the more you fight for it, the less chances you will ever get it. Walk away from it, say "its just another 22, and not a very good one" and all of a sudden it will be not a big deal anymore.

Consider this - what is the most probable market for MP5-ish expensive 22 rifle? It is young individual, not too smart, not after honing his shooting skills, the one who never after target competitions. High on hormones and slightly hyper hothead. Once that pussy break up with his girlsfriend first thing he will do is pull his gun. Now here is somehting you will be surprised to hear - he will pull his gun BECAUSE it is cool and it looks like MP5 and he saw it in the movies.

You think????

That's a pile of Horsesh!t.

There are lots of guys with tricked out 10/22's, and you don't hear stories of them pulling out their guns on anyone.

I personally would LOVE to have a GSG-5. Cosmetically its very nice. That's why I want it. Am I a young, dumbass hothead? Well, I scored in the 87th percentile on the LAST, I'm 32, and I've never been charged with any crime, never even been in so much as a bar fight.

But, dammit, I want one, and you should STFU because once they've got the GSG-5's, they will come for everything else, and they are waiting for people like you to help them out, right up until they take yours.

72 mustang, I see you really like my opinion. I deleted my post yesterday because I do not think it was right. And you saved it, and re-posted twice already. Mental case? Well I guess I was right then. All who wants this little mp5 poser rifle are somewhat ehh... mmm... what should I call it

Paul Morrison, I disagree. I like cool rifles, there are a few in my collection. I just like you am already sick seing old boomsticks with wooden stock. But whining about one little overpriced mp5-alike 22lr poser rifle on 118 pages that is not normal. I hope liberals do not see this thread

Excuse me? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've read today.

If I were to say that all Sig Sauer aficionados are ######s, would you agree? The fact that this particular rifle has garnered so much attention is a testament to how desirable it is, and with good reasons: it's aesthetically pleasing, designed to fire a popular, inexpensive caliber and would most likely not have been very expensive.

I don't know why you have issues with this rifle, but to even suggest that so many people are "what should I call it" because they want what you consider "this little mp5 poser rifle" is downright idiotic.
