It's an np-34 from Marstar (Sig p228 clone)

Chinese crap I know. Budget.

Don't want .22

Really wanted a 1911 but too expensive (ammo)

MY questions: Aside from two extra mags that I will order from marstar, I want a nice leather paddle holster.. are Wild Bill's leather holsters any good?

Mag Pouches can wait till I have the money.

Where can I find nice holsters in Canada and where can I find Hogue grips for the p228 in Canada?

Do I need anything else urgently? Like specials springs or snap caps?

Anything I should order from Marstar in particular to save on shipping?

Thanks!!

For a holster get yourself a Blackhawk duty type holster...should be avaiable for a 228! Well worth the money, but not that much! Probley $60.00 or so! For grips try Ellwood Epps or Dave`s surplus theyve probly got them and if they dont they can get them. Any accesories that Marstar has that you think you want its best to order it all at once.

Have Fun!!

For the holster, where will you use it?

Are you certified for using a holster at shooting ranges?

As cool as they are, if ya can't use it at the range all it is good for is carrying the gun around your house on you unloaded.

Well I just placed the order with marstar. I got a local hogue dealer that is going to call me back within an hour for a price on the grips.. speaking of grips, Finger grooves or not?

All that I need now is a holster. I want to leave the gun in the holster while it's in the gun cabinet. I want it to be good looking and I would like a paddle. Matching double Magazine Carrier would be nice as well. Yes I can use it at the range.

Right now I seem to be leaning towards the Wild Bills Fusion paddle holster in mahogany brown.. any reviews on this guy?

So that leaves 9mm reloading dies and bullets (got a bunch of brass)

Anything missing?
Any reviews on the wild bills holsters?
Finger Grooves or no Finger Grooves?

if you are stuck on leather im not sure for holsters, but is you want a good and cheap kydex, the 5.11 holsters and mag puches worked good for me on my 229 this IDPA season

Be careful about storing your pistol in a leather holster. Depending on the humidity in your area, the leather can hold moisture and the gun will pit. For storage either keep it in a kydex as suggested above, or have a humidity control device in your storage cabinet(there are all sorts), or even better, just leave it outside of a holster altogether. Dont forget about the proper care and maintenance for your finish.
BTW, altho leather is nice, if u havnt tried a kydex rig, dont sell them short. There are numerous makers out there from the economical for the casual user(Fobus, Uncle Mikes) to the more higher end. Most of it is personal choice but have a look for yourself.
Cheers

I've got a Safariland 518 for my Glock and it's great. It's also lined so it's easier on your finish.

These guys are in NY but have no issues shipping to Canada. Huge selection as well.

Save money on accessories and get a better gun. You can always buy accessories later.

Just another "chinese product hating mother ####er" I bought a Norinco .45 and so has so many others on here. You gonna say we ALL bought cheap ####? Ive had just about enough of the chinese haters on here. You dont like them? FINE, but leave the rest of us out of your hating. I bought mine cause its a stepping stone to seeing if im wanting to shell out the $700+ for a "REAL" Colt. Have you ever thought of the fact that he has bought this so he can spend more time shooting then wishing he could shoot?

just my .02 ####ing sense ;)

Yes, you bought a cheap piece of ####. Now settle down before you get a heart attack and create an unnecessary expense for the public healthcare system ;)

And by the way, ".02 ####ing sense" seems like a pretty good estimate. That's about as much sense as you've got by the sounds of it :D

Why would I not EVER own a Norinco? Same reason I don't buy pirated DVD's or fake Rolexes. Or mabe it's just pride.
I wouldn't own a Norico if they paid me to. Why own something that has been copied from an honest manufacturer who spent lots of money on research and development? In 1996 undercover FBI and BATF agents uncovered the illegal trafficing of 2000 fully automatic AK's into the USA; the agents posed as illegal arms dealers and made contact with Norinco representatives who stated they could provide everything from hand-held rocket launchers, mortars, anti-aircraft missiles, silenced machine guns and even tanks. (Straight from Wikipedia)

You could get a brandnew glock for $600.... And I'm sure you'd be happier for much longer.

Yeah...............well......... ####. Does anyone else smell burnt toast? :p

As for buying a glock for $600. Okay, im sure id be much happier with owning a glock but right now im waiting for my COLT to come back from Gunnar so there :p

On a serious note.........why dont you guys like Norinco brand firearms?

Why don't we like Norincos? I repeat: Same reason I don't buy pirated DVD's or fake Rolexes. Why own something that has been copied from an honest manufacturer who spent lots of money on research and development? Essentially it's stolen technology! Some people just have some pride I guess.
