Magpul PMag

Dave's surplus is sold out and they are'nt even in yet:eek:
Any other stores have any stock?Anyone know?

Dave surplus is NOT sold out of PMags. They are howerver not in stock yet.

I do have my name on 20 flat earth ones (I was going to buy all 50 but thought that would be hoarding for no good reason)

Also: some testing at home show that my Black PMags do not fall free from the wifes eagle arms lower. Further testing is warranted.

I called Dave's end of last week the order they have coming
in as told to me by them is pre sold out,the next order will be
3 weeks behind the one that is completely spoken for. That
would mean the first order is sold out as far as I'm concerned.

camsticks has Pmags in there store, but their not pinned, should talk with someone at the store if he can get them pinned.

That is not true based on my personal witness. I watched the testing with more than a "few" magazines and 6 different lowers, including STAG, BM, COLT and LMT. IT is luck of the draw - the risk is just a bit higher with the black ones. the Brown ones will drop free with lowers when the black ones need to be yanked away.

The magazine well has certain tolerance - it appears that the tolerance of the black ones is slightly off to the fat side. If you lower happens to be on the tight side of the tolerance, the chance of not dropping fee is higher with the black pmags. They are not pervasive - but we must luck out as we see 2 out of 6 lowers fail to drop free- and the two problematic ones are considered to be the Tier-1 manufacturers.

Too bad no one testing has ever heard of vernier calipers so we could actually know if there was or wasn't a difference in te mags...

Drake from Magpul has posted on the ridges they added to later model PMAG's so they would have less slop in looser magwells -- you just file the tab to let it drop free when you have a tight magwell.

I asked Collin about it and he told me they were not sold out. You must have talked to Corey when he had some wrong info in hand. Call again, ask for Collin and everything should be sorted out.

Thats been the going rate since I have been looking for and buying them over the last 3 weeks. And they get sold within minutes. Now that I got my fill, was just posting showing they were available. Pricey, but man are they nice.

Its what everyone else is selling them for. Its fair. If i hadn't bought the mass quantity I have in the last few weeks I would have taken them, but gotta spread it around.

Sorry G22,I thought P Mags were known for being cheaper in price than the steel versions? Brownells sells them for $16. I take back what I said then, but we as Canucks sure get hosed when things come across the border.

I had always thought that P mags were a cheaper alternative to the steel mags. I guess that theory only applies in the US, up in Canada it's reversed. It's madness I tells ya!! Though I have always wanted a P Mag, now I'm debating if I want to buy them :)

South of the border I have seen the metal mags for $9.95 each.

I got 500 PMAG's for free...

When I do buy mags - I pay 13.50USD for PMAG's.

Now granted people in Canada are buying a pinned mag, I can see an increase in price - add in shipping and the hassle of pinning $25 is likely a reasonable price.

My wife and I are looking at setting up a business to export to Canadians specific for this issue.
