Ah man that's just sick... It's friggen Christmas! Good Will to men & all that stuff. And you show me Wendi's ####o scrapbook... Just wwwwrongggg!:(:p

I'd be surprised if that stuff was not melted down back in the 70's or 80's. Anyone know when the photos were taken?

The only comforting thought (if there could be one) is that its all so badly rusted from sitting out in the humidity of the jungle, that I doubt any of it could be refurbished to shooting quality.
A real shame about those thompsons and 50's and MG34's though. Even just the thompson mags would bring a fortune now.

I heard something about Japan paying the Vietnamese to drag all of those guns to the tide line and let the tide go in and out...quickly rusting all of it to useless crap. Not sure about the details but that looks like it.

Those pics have been around for years. I agree it's a shame.

I also heard that most of the stuff involved was collected from villages and jungle dumps, where they had been collected off the battlefields and or brought in as spares dumps.

A lot of surplus US weaponry was given to the Vietnamese before and dureing the war.

I was also told that it was mostly junk. Poorly stored and not worth repairing for the black market.
