I also think alot of people will be disappointed in not having a Shootoff....everyone going will have their handgun, not many will have shotgun and rifle also
 
I could not give a hoot about a shoot off. I went on a tour of a National park durring this years Nationals.

Now a 3 gun match! Then we are talking.

If you need gear for a 3 gun I am certain that there will be plenty to borrow.

.......not that I wouldn't throughly enjoy a 3-gun match , I just wish they would keep the Shootoff though as quite a few people enjoy that as well....I do agree that 3-gun should be a separate side match of our Nationals until it becomes alot more popular, presenting it at the Nationals for others to watch and decide if they would like it is a good idea
 
I think that it is just a matter of time constraints.

You can only do so much in the alloted time.

I am glad for the opportunity to head to the East Coast and do some shooting.

The more the merrier!
 
We have had the shoot-off for the last several years and it has gone over very well. I hope the organizers will re-consider and do it again.

it think it's a really fun event and this will show the true potential of the 3-gun event

but my main concern is: how this gonna be scored ....explanation......if a guy shoot the pistol match in OPEN major caliber then he show up with a stock AR_15 who is barelly minor for the rifle division 55gr x 3000¨=165pf ( PF rifle : 160 minor 320major) and don't apply for open rifle then he shoot the Shotgun with an OPEN shotgun.....this i don't understand how it's gonna done

or we make evryone major or minor for the 3-gun event or we use the multi-gun rules http://www.3gunrules.com/documents/multi-gun-rules/img-rules/rm3g_2006_rules.pdf

plus everyone gonna show up there with ar-15 and those 10 rounds mags.....that are somehow legal in full lenght AR's
and people gonna shot with regular rifle like VZ-858 , SKS etc.. with 5 rounds legality.....

with all those clarification that should be the best side match EVER

Match organizers may also declare a Grand Tournament as “Restricted”, whereby only one specific
division in each discipline will be recognized, for example:

For my 3 gun matches we generally recognize.

Standard Semi and Open Semi for Rifle. (I have never had a manual gun compete).

For Shotgun we go with Open, Standard and Standard Manual.

For Pistol we go the full deal.........well no modified.


For the tournament we go for Standard and Open.
