I am not slagging you. I just look at it as being part of the kit, a rifle gets a sling and a pistol gets a holster. Alot of gun things are useless because of our stupid laws, but we want them anyway just because. And maybe, just maybe in some distant century we will be "permitted" by our masters to actually carry as we see fit.
No, I was just curious as I have never owned a holster, no ever see people at the range with them. I just use my waistband, or a coat pocket.

I can't get the theme song for Magnum PI out of my head now:D

I would not want to carry a Glock in Condition one stuffed inside my waistband, and I think Plaxico Burress won't anymore either.

I think it's time for a holster CANAM.......:p

Well waiting for my two $99 specials, I bought one of those Russian TT33s. I already had two spam cans of ammo (4,000+) so a gun seemed like a good idea.

The gun looks a bit funky, but is smooth and easy to use. Slide spring is not very stiff. Easy to ####. No grip or hammer safety catch. At 20 yards I could keep all the rounds on a 12 x 12 (inch) target. Not a match pistol.

That was a 1945 made gun. Maybe a new Norcarev is tighter and more accurate. If a Lee Enfield sporter is a natural "truck rifle", then this Norcarev is a natural "truck glove box pistol".

Waiting for my 2 Norcarevs and my two Russian SKS rifles. Hope the pistols are faster.

Where did you find the Russian TT-33 in stock (edited to add I found them at Ellwood Epps) Does Ellwood have the ammo too?

The 7.62x25 must have quite a kick. My local range that allows .460, .454 Casull and .500AE from the big hand cannon revolvers said "You ain't shooting that thing here! You'll damage my range!" until I reassured them that it was regular 9mm and not the 7.62x25. From that I gather the 7.62 comes with quite the grin factor.

Frontier is advertising the TT33 kit. I got mine from Tradex. It is in like new condition. Maybe the barrel is new.

No, not a big kick. The guy beside me was shooting a Sig in 40 S&W. They sounded about the same.

The recoil did not feel as sharp as my BHP in 9mm.

The ammo I was shooting is milsurp, but had brass cases and lead core bullets. Range official checked before letting me shoot. I had some steel core with me, which he asked me not to shoot.

the 7.62x25 has about the same power as a 9mm, so our cheapo pistols should be easy to shoot.

I just find it odd to see a tok in a holster at a range. For me holster are for walking around with, not ranges. Other than IPSC, etc.

I just like to have a "correct" holster. I use it to store it and keep an extra mag with it at home.

This is usually due to the Comblock using steel in the bullets, it is a big problem for indoor ranges. Heck, at my range you can shoot larger than 308 but no steel bullets, a guy didn't follow the rule and the bullets actually set the backstop on fire beyind the the plating.

What I still want answered is "would any range allow you to fire two pistols at once"? I can see that getting you a swift boot off of the property.

I bought this TT33 last week from Tradex. It included the holster and two mags. You could ask both Tradex and Frontier if they have any spare holsters.

They are now in stock. They have the standard star military grip and the thumb safety. AFAIK they are all the same.

Also, the guns do not say Norinco or Made in China. Just a serial number and laser markings for the UN BS. (CN 08 CA)

They are nicer than I expected.

Please tell me the T97's won't have the BS UN markings. Not law in Canada yet.
