Given the fact that I'm somewhat of a "FUD", a 257 Roberts would be appropriate.Chambered for what cartridge?

What'd you think, a short mag?

That one went down the road.Well, since you already have a 270 WSM, I was wondering....
You're right, the one I have already is a very good and consistant shooter, but those Kimbers ARE nice rifles.Stick with the 700, at least you know you'll have the accuracy.![]()

I've never had one, but I know you have read all the threads on 24hr about the accuracy/headspace/feeding issues. For the $$ you are paying, it is a gamble, and we don't have the luxury of returning it to the factory like the Americans do.
Some of them have sent their rifles back to Kimber 2 and 3 times, and had barrels replaced twice. Up here, you'll be paying for that, after spending $1200 or more buying it.
Kimbers are the most talked about rifle there, but the split is only 50% good/ 50% bad experiences. Not very good...
This is whats concerning me about buying an 84M, and to make it worse no one in town has one. So now I dont know what the f*ck Im gonna do LOL.
You're right, best to hold off. If not for all the bad press, I would splurge on one for sure.I've never had one, but I know you have read all the threads on 24hr about the accuracy/headspace/feeding issues. They do need to do something to restore their good name to the rifle line.

Yah but a .338 Fed. isn't a .308 and a .260 Rem. isn't a .257 roberts this makes Archie sad.
