Hi-Point .45 - Updated with dissasembly pictures

Peter277200 That would be sweet if you modded one, people will open up to them a bit more.

Although I still think the lifetime warranty not being fully backed in Canada is what is hampering people from getting one. If the warranty was fully fulfilled here then who wouldn't pay $250 for a gun that you could shoot the crap out of and send back everytime it had an inherent malfunction. I bet a lot of people would. The pistol has a pretty strong following in the US and some people buy it in most part for the warranty and of course the price.

KODIAK, ease the lines for warranty work! It will be to your benefit!

My criteria for buying a handgun are:
1. reliability
2. accuracy
3. price
4. how it looks (cosmetic things)
In Canada, unless you're very involved in action shooting (IPSC IDPA, PPC etc), your guns is NOT for self defense or showing off, it's just for target plinking with some friends during club time!! When we shoot side by side in a gun club, I'll see how's your grouping in around 15 yds, and we share the fun. Firearm like Hi-point, it's a good gun club toy. I have ordered one and it should be arriving tomorrow. Will post a brief range report soon!

......I bet a blind man would be thrilled to see that pistol....

Frackin' hilarious :D :D

I agree with ridgearms, Kodiac. Put aside one or two for parts when the warranty issues start, just to instill confidence in buyers. between that great move and my impending artsy-fartsy mods, you'll be selling hundreds within a coupla months. You'll be rich beyond your wildest dreams.
Just don't forget the little people (namely moi) who put you there.....:D

This gun came with a factory supplied ghost ring rear sight. I put it on today and like it even more now then with the open sights.

Installation was very easy, all you need is a regular slotted screw driver and 10 minutes.

I should also note that the rear sight is 2 way adjustable, another nice feature.

If I buy one in .45 I'll have to get another calibre of ammo. I need someone to tell me to stop...9mm, 40 cal, 44 mag, 445 supermag, where do I stop....THE MADNESS!!! AHH!!!!

Qn for someone that has one of these monsters. How is the size of the grip? I have large hands and it looks kinda small...or is the slide HUGE thus making the grip look small.

STOP, DAMN IT! THAT'S AN ORDER.

Do as I say, not as I do.....

Mine's in the mail, boyz'n gurlz. Got confirmation from Kodiac today! I can't wait to transform it into the pretty baby I know it can be. I'll be the envy of GunNutz. Members'll be gossiping "Wow, there goes Petey with his gorgeous $260 gun. How'd he do it. He's our idol". You'll see, it'll happen. I just know it! :ban:
