Both in 9mm. Both similar in price.

Which would you choose and why? I've only handled the CZ and fits me really well.

I do like the accessory rail on the M+P.

CZ vs M&P..............

I've owned CZ's and handled the S&W. The CZ fits me very well, too. In fact I only sold off my last one in favour of a BHP MkIII which even fits me better. That said, the M&P was a good fit too.

But given the choice & similar cost I'd opt for the steel CZ over the polymer M&P.

Just a personal choice.

PS... I have no need of an accessory rail, either. ;)

I have CZ 75B and LOVE it, handle M&P several time and went with a G17, IMO both Glock and M&P is no way come close to a CZ, if you handle both, you will found there isn't any play between the slide and flame of CZ but on the other hand there are play on the Glock and M&P.

I've owned both (well I had a CZ85) it really comes down to personal preference. Both in my experience are reliable, accurate, and feel very good in the hand. In your position I think I'd buy the one I thought looked coolest - either one will give you great service. If you want a pistol to customize definitely get the CZ, there's really not much you can do with an M&P in that department.

Me, I'd take a Glock 17 over the M&P, too.

Cz75 for sure. I have one in 40 and the weight feels just right. I lean more towards the all metal guns

Oho! So you picked up a CZ75 in 40 eh? I did tell you they were nice.

I to have the CZ-75 in 40, and I was looking at getting a polymer frame pistol as well.

My choices would be between Springfield XD, S&W M&P, Ruger SR9. I personally dont like the feel of a Glock, but they are workhorses too.

I love my M&P 9mm. 100% flawless from day one. It's light, easy to take down, shoots well and it's a modern design that just looks cool.

Oddly enough, I have been thinking about buying a CZ. It will fill the gap between my Para 1911 and my M&P.

Like other people said though, totally different guns, both are great in their own ways. I'd say purchase both !

CZ 75B is my first choice ! :D

and you can put the conversion kit (Kadet .22) on it :dancingbanana:

really, CZ has a nice grip, all steel, well made, accurate and you will keep it for ever :p

I like the extra weight of the CZ75b in 9mm.
I also like the Tutone for looks.

That being said, I am considering a G17 or M&P for a 2nd gun to compete with.
Just to try out and have for my daughter and GF.

you should be able to compete with the CZ75b, its a service pistol (good IDPA, and ATHL anyway, Im not sure about IPSC)

I just came to ask if the Kadet kit would fit. Do you have it?

In my situation, I have the CZ 75 Kadet complete gun and after I bought a CZ 75B in 9mm.

But in you have a CZ 75B in 9mm you can just buy the Kadet kit, it's a conversion kit, then it will fit perfectly.

I think it's a good way to practise with cheap ammo but always with the same frame pistol.
