Right on FRY...
I guess yours gets mounted on the wall.
I gave mine a general cleaning last night, but I think waiting for it to arrive, has me wanting to tear it down again and give it a more thorough bath and some well needed TLC. Like I said, I bought mine to shoot and have fun with.
WOOHOO the day finally arrived!!! Pics will be up tonight. Got a 1951 TULA ALL matching NO forced match! Wood is great, not a scratch on this baby! All matching! It looks unfired too... apart from the cosmo, it looks pristine!

Having such a pristine piece of history has made me jealous. I am on the hunt for one like yours...
Yeah I got my chinese type 56 to blast away with. I'm glad I got an awesome SKS to pop on the wall.
---- what grade did you order, Fixit , ??? ----- been a Real grab bag, for a lot of people !!!!!!! I take it your not too happy !!!my three arrived from Frontier today
all black bolts, every trigger group forced matched, 2/3 gas tubes forced matched, all stocks forced matched.... and only one cleaning kit
at least one has a spring loaded firing pin, and another has a pristine bore.
---- Yes I hear you, --- seems to Luck of the Draw, whatever, ---sorry, you were disapointed, that sucks, ---- I don,t think paint remover, or acetone or whatever, would hurt the bolt any, But I,m not real sure either, should be bright metal underneath, if your talking just about the bolt, -- really don,t know, maybe some others here can add their Advice !! ---- Good Luck on this, Fixit.well granted i did order a shooters grade, but with what ive seen from others getting really pristine rifles that were shooters grade... i was just dissapointed to see that they were all black bolts and forced matched everything.
anyone know any good ways to strip the black paint off with out damaging the blueing?
Well if you are not going to fire it . Why clean the cosmoline from the internals .It is there to protect it .
Any bets that we hit 5000 before any of us get our orders from SIR?
