I am looking at buying some JHPs to add to my collection. I already have tons of Corbons for the 9mm and .40. Is there somthing better? price is not an issue.

I have a box of Ranger SXT's and lots of Golden Saber 9MM 147Gr.

Wanna trade a box of Golden Saber for a box of Corbon?

Corbons have a reputation of being just about the best self defense loads that money can buy in the US.

In Canada, your not going to find allot. Maybe a box of SXT's or Hydrshocks here and there.

Win Ranger LE 115 gr is very accurate.
I've shot Win Rangers and Golden Saber side by side and
Rangers groups were <1" from 15 yards while Golden Sabers were 2-3"
in my Glock.

Speer Gold Dot personal protection JHPs. A very nice hollow point and only about $1.50/round. Muzzle velocity on 155gr .40S&W is ~1200fps.

The thread was not an offer to trade, I am simply looking to find what is a good self defense load. I have a bunch of Corbons right now, I am wandering if there is anything better. That being said, I am able to to purchase JHP's very easily. What are the rules for selling ammunition, I am able to get a fair amount of Corbons. What is the street price for those up here for a box of 20? I have heard some folks will pay $60.00 for a box of 20 is that true? If so I may just have to.

According to one very well known book, and this has been argued, but the authors after extensive testing found the 45acp 230gr. Federal Hydra Shok to be the best 1 shot stopping round @ 96%. Again you will get arguments on this finding. All of the rounds listed are great rounds and work very well. I like the Winchester Silver Tip, I was lucky to get some when I did.

Street price?

Dude, they're bullets, not baggies of crack cocaine. The price is what someone wants to pay for them. Their is a dealer who sells Cobon ammo in Quebec, CRAFM or something like that.

For a box of 20 Corbons i wouldnt pay more than 30 bucks.
I still have about 2000 Ranger SXTs 147 gr.
I find it to be great ammo but hard to find for a good price.

The Term "Street price" is a well known term in retail circles for the retail price of products, on "main street" not a reference to the drug trade. What are Corbons selling for when available?

Steve I picked up some Winchester 9mm Silver Tip 115gr from Williams Arms a while back. They have it in periodically but want $36 for 50. Are you talking about Winchester Silver Tip in .45?

Speer gold dot hollow points are the only hollow points I would carry(if I could), either that or federal hydra shocks. Both have preformed for me shooting at various targets at the range. Winchester silver tips and hornady xtp's would be at the bottom of my list for reliable expansion under 1200fps

I don't think that market is big enough, to tell you the truth.

Granted, if I had the money and there was a case of .357 Sig Corbon ammo available, I'd be all over it like white on rice
