nice pix! Mike, do you think they are hiring for unloading?:D

Here's what bothers me about this pic.

1) Judging by the small qty of crates on the forklift, the container looks like it was shipped half-full or less.

2) The guy taking the picture would have had to WALK on those flimsy cardboard boxes to get back there for the photo. Show of hands - how many ppl here think an AR is built to be trod on without bending the buffer tube or something?

1) Yes, it is an absolute certainty that ALL of the ones that shipped in the container are in this picture. There is NO way there could be other ones not in the picture. You're 100% correct - it was 1/2 full when it left China.

2) They are shipped in brown paper bags, and even slight handling bends buffer tubes in half. In fact, most of them were damaged when they were put into boxes at the factory. I'd be surprised if any are left functioning after this obvious abuse.

Seriously dude - how can you draw ridiculous conclusions from one quick photo?

I'm not drawing any conclusions - I'm speculatin g for the sake of discussion because unless I'm mistaken, that is all we can hope to do. These guns might still be someone gearing up for April Fool's day at this point.

Do you see any dealers advertising these?

Do we have pricing?

Do we have anything like an indication who is bringing them in, when, and what availability will be like?

NO, NO and NO.

No dealers are advertising them because there is a conspiracy and they need to unload the rest of their overpriced 1600$ AR's before the canadian marketplace can be flooded with the 600$ M4's.

Marstar or CanAm can start selling them, they have no current stock of AR's and if they do go for $600, they will go like hot cakes....

Lots of Imperial Defense AR15's out there. Many dealers have said they don't know what to do with them.

MikeK is twisted, that is for sure, but I don't think he'd tease us about this.

I also recognize which store that is and know that Mike helped them unload that shipment....probably angling for a discount :D

Here's a hint: discount them to cost plus 10 or 15% instead of the cost plus (some ungodly amount)%.

No way you'll sell these things for $1500 whan Norincos will be $900 or less at about the same quality point.

Even worst, how can you tell there were Norinco M4 inside? The pix was unloading but not uploading? The photo was taken in...where and when?

:D It is so much fun to wait for your toys...

They were up for a few hours for $890 at AEI.....but now have vanished. Jumped the gun??? Who knows??

I thought they would have been cheaper than that if Lever is going to sell for $900 as someone else said??:( they are usually overpriced compared to the rest:confused:

Unfortunately in the world of retail, cost +10/+15 works out to loosing money anyway, no retailer should ever sell for less than a 30% mark up. Doing less is simply a recipe for disaster. Mathematically it's better to sell one or 2 at full margin than to sell 10 at a discount, unless the discount is going to generate vast numbers of sales. There are no vast numbers of sales in the gun business.

Except that those dealers stocked ID AR15's for a ridiculously high MSRP and in some cases, having them sit on the shelf equates to losing money. Better to sell at no profit and replace them with product that actually turns over.
