OttawaHungry M14 Clinic 21 March 2009 DeBrief HERE!

I would be really interested in signing up for this, but unfortunately I have no car.
Is there someone from Montreal who's going that would be willing to pick up a passenger and cargo (rifle, some tools, and extra stocks) from Kirkland.
I'm close to the 40 so it would be a slight detour at most.

I wouldn't miss this for the world, in fact I am swapping my oncall work, so if someone needs a lift from Ottawa ( I am in Stittsville), let me know.

Yes, bring the M1 along... Bring along the M1A, we'll tweak that, too!

Any members from Vankleek Hill GC here???

I could use a Mapquest link....

Got lots of syringes ($ 2.00 each WITH grease) for sale and many, many shims for all of you to bang out in the afternoon.... :D

Cheers,
Barney

Bring whatever YOU can muster up from that list on page 1 of this thread. We will end up sharing tools anyways, I've got lots of M14 specific hand tools! :D

I can't sit on the fence any longer, I'm confirmed.

I'm bringing a Norc M14s and a M1 Garand.

I looked for the thread from last year, it had directions in it, but could not find it?

Yet again I would like to ask where this clinic is being held? Is it such a mystery? Is the location going to be revealed 24 hours before hand? I for one have paid the fee, so why has it not been revealed? I also Emailed Marstar, but have yet to hear anything. Is the location top secret?

Hungry here... nah, everyone is quite busy these days. Not to worry. It'll all work out. We are gonna have a gr8 time, trust me on this one...

Vankleek Hill Gun Club

The club is located at 2150 Barb Road in East Hawkesbury.

There is a SMALL blue address sign with 2150 in white letters. As we are all coming from either Ottawa or Montreal, it will be on your right immediately after a SMALL BRICK CHURCH. It is on private farmland.

The dirveway is pretty long about 500m there will be an old brick farmhouse on your right and a couple of buildings on your left.

Drive to the end of the driveway and you will see a sign on the door VHGC. This used to be an old "pig barn" or so I am told.

There is NO SIGN on the highway that there is a gun club there, so SLOW down when you see the church! On your first trip, you will feel like you are lost and that you are "tresspassing" on private property. The driveway is VERY long, but is well cleared of snow. Do drive S L O W L Y as there can be ice and the driveway is on a bit of an incline and you could end eup skating if you have a heavy foot.

Bring a thermos of coffee or bottled water as there ain't no restaurant facilities there. Good idea to bring your lunch too as I don't think folks will want to wander off to town for lunch, but that's just me.

If you use a GPS (who doesn't), enter 2150 BARB ROAD in Vankleek Hill and it will bring you to within 20m of the driveway. Ain't technology great?
