Fresh off of Casey's bench at Tactical Ordnance:

...and no ATT required.

(that's a 10 round 'pistol' mag)

Here was the shopping list for this particular project:

- 'ACE' skeleton buttstock (custom trimmed to my length of pull)
- standard AR-15 buffer tube (also custom trimmed to my length of pull)
- 'Troy Industries' folding BUIS (front and rear)
- 'Leupold' Prismatic 1x14mm scope (etched 'circle plex' reticle viewable even with illumination turned off [not a holosight or red-dot])
- standard Picatinny rail stock trimmed to size for the upper receiver and precisely matched to the rearward end of the upper rail on the quad-rail forestock (unless you look closely, it looks like a single uninterrupted rail running the length of the rifle between the front and rear BUIS)
- 'Midwest Industries' quad-rail forestock
- 'Tango Down' rail covers
- 'Yankee Hill Machine' Picatinny rail bipod mount (seen on the forward end of the forestock's lower rail)

During the process of disassembly, the factory iron sights - front and rear - were removed, along with the factory scope mount base plate on the upper receiver. Due to the rifle's construction, these factory components had to be taken off permanently with a grinder ...and - in the case of the factory front sight - very carefully due to its close proximity with the rifle's gas system. Where possible, metal components were parkerized, then the entire rifle was refinished with baked KG GunKote (black) prior to final reassembly.

Gee... that's an awfully personal question... we just met...

Hehe! I know but I have been looking at different firearms ideas for a future buy. I have one I wanna do based on a VZ-58. The one after that I am still up in the air about. But after seeing your rifle it gave me a little inspiration to possibly look at the AR-180B as an option. Therefore, I was just wondering how much to expect if I was to do a similar setup as yours. :D

Nice job. How much did that cost you?

I don't see any gunsmithing that was done, but I do see a $1100 AR180B, a $250 rail, $300 set of BUIS's and not sure what that optic is, but I'd per a ACOG or a AimPoint or EoTech on it personally.

So your looking at about $1700 or so + optics.

...then you would be wrong.

The factory front and rear sights were removed, the factory upper receiver scope mount plate was removed, the rail on the upper receiver was trimmed and installed, the skeleton stock was modified to attach to the receiver and the entire rifle was refinished with baked-on Gun Kote.

Yes, you could say that there was a bit of gunsmithing involved...

"...How do you like the Leupold prismatic scope?..."
I'll know after spending some 'getting to know you' range time with the rifle this coming Thursday. When I initially purchased it, I did not 'Pass Go' or 'Collect $200' (or take it to the range) ...it went directly to Casey for the customization work.

Thursday should be fun...
