redrommel, c'mon, I was really looking forward to meeting you. We shoot at the same club in Burlington. Oh well, there will be plenty of others to meet, and of course, Hungry will be there as "the Man"!

Yes, unfortunately I'll be at the hospital all day with my brother. :-(

If nobody buys my spot I'll try to drop by for a little bit just to say hi and check things out but I wouldn't be able to stay for more than an hour or so.

Boo...I'm missing out today on a great M14 clinic.... :(

You did! :p

It was a great clinic, and a good time was had by all! I suspect the gang will start posting up a storm once everyone has had a chance to get cleaned up and some dinner.

My congratulations to Hungry and SgtRockRules04 for a very successful day!

Yes the clinic was great and my thanks to Hungry, skeetgunner and SgtRockRules04 for making it happen. The Burlington Rifle and Gun CLub were fabulous and generous hosts.

One of the participants asked me about changing the rear sight on the M14. Here is that nice little tutorial that I promised.

Read it, so your sights .... won't fall off!

Hungry,SgtRock and Skeetgunner! Thanks guys for donating your time to events like this. I had a blast, I learned a lot, met fellow gun nutz, shimmed my M14 which now pings and shoots better than I do. Thanks guys for making this possible for newbies like myself. Now I no longer consider myself a newbie. Now I know how to make her ping and spew that molten lead down her barrel and land exactly where I intend it to. Great job and you guys rock!

I'll chime(or would that be ping?) in with my thanks as well. Great and informative day, worth the $35 and more. I now have a smooth cycling M14 that pings nicely, and know a few more ways to make it even better in the future. If you haven't been to one of these clinics, you'd better get to one before your... well you know... ;)

PING!

TO day was a good day. I think Hungry is really great people thank you very much sir and would also like to thank SgtRock and Skeetgunner and it was good to see and meet some gun nutz

Hi everyone,

Thank you Hungry, when I got home I checked and the #### was still attached, I put some duct tape around it just in case. I scheduled a cancer screening for monday, cause CHU just never know!

Thank you for an amazing day, let me get shootin for a bit, then I'll be seeing you for a nice steak dinner and some re-barreling, if I ever get that good, and that's a big IF.

Nice meeting all you guys, and I'll be joining the Burlington club next month!!

Looking forward to the upcoming UPGRADED M14 CLINIC DVD's, Hungry if your looking for any help with that let me know!

A great and informative day was had by all! Finally made it to one of these clinics.
Thank-you so much Hungry for passing on the knowledge - what a great service to this board and shooting community in general.
The Burlington Gun Club is awesome! Thank-you SgtRock and Skeetgunner for being such great hosts. Wish I was closer, I'd join.
Thanks for posting the link DanToronto - now I just have to get that M1 sight.
It was a pleasure meeting some of the other CGN'ers - thanks to all for the great experience.
If you haven't been to one of these...what are you waiting for? :D

Much thanks to Hungry and the Burlington Club for putting on a great clinic. I gotta say though, Hungry, your lectures were a little dry, maybe tell a few jokes or stories LOL.
Thanks, Simar for your assistance getting me dialed in and shootin true. Now to break it to my wife that I need to build me a match rifle.

If Hungry was my high school teacher, I would have been laughing through the years non-stop. Hungry has a special gift to make it entertaining. I did not find it dry a tiny bit. Drop the hammer, talking about dry, you should have gone through the firearms incense course I went through...:bangHead:

I think we need the [SARCASM] [/SARCASM] tags here at cgn...

Hey guys,

Just a bit of a funny story, after I got home, at 5:30 (I stayed after to play around with my .22's as I ran out of 308 ammo THX SIMAR!!!) my wife was upset that I wanted to clean my guns after spending the whole day at the range, but she said it would be ok as long as I did it in the family room so that I would be with her and our son. 3 hours later..... she wasn't very amuzed, I thought I was going to be in the dog house for a long time and no more guns for me.

Out of nowhere our 10 month old son gets up on his feet grabs on to one of his plastic chairs and starts to walk!!!!!!!!! HIS FIRST STEPS!!!! Suddenly I'm out of the dog house and everything is peachy!! IT WAS A GOOD DAY!!!

M-14 Clinic BRRC

There are alot of positive & kind words being said about the clinic that just finished up at our club (BRRC) AND ITS ALL TRUE! The only other thing SgtRock can add is, anyone else who has an M-14 & doesn't get in on one of Hungry's courses is............................YOU HAD BETTER OR YOUR " #### IS GOIN FALL OFF!!!!".Hungry, thank you so very much! & thanks to all the participants who attended. Its rare for a person to be so forthcoming with knowledge, resources & time.We can work on another M-14 course & I'm going to work on Hungry for a Black Rifle course too! May you all shoot tighter & tighter groups! SgtRockRules04!

Well, I can finally think straight after a good night's sleep.

Major thanks go to Sgt.RockRules04 and Skeetgunner for hosting us. It's a pile of work, but I'm so happy to rub shoulders with some movers and shakers over at BRRC. What a great facility you folks have there.

Thanks for running the ranges when I was in the classroom tweaking. Also big thanks to all the attendees, I wish my dayjob as a high school teacher was always this pleasurable & teachable. :D

Yes, I will be back in May/June so that we can accomodate the many people who had to back out at the last minute. Life works that way, eh?

Remember at the beginning of the Clinic that this session would be magical? They always make my head spin (without any drugs) and all the karma is magical. I am honored to be afforded the privilege of teaching all of you!

Hey, SgtRockRules04... I'll contact Skeetgunner with the next available open Saturday in my May / June calender to help out the missing clinic attendees.. ;) You don't have to be the point man the second time around... same material, same stale jokes.

Cheers and stay tuned...

Barney

Thanks hungry for sharing a lot of your knowledge. It was great to meet everyone, Glad I could help a couple of folks out. It was a blast :)

It was indeed a fantastic clinic and a really good opportunity to network with some other 'Nutz. I learned a TON about running the M14 and can't wait to continue tweaking it.

Through a bit of my own hamfistedness I inadvertently tweaked my rifle just enough to induce some puzzling malfunctions. Without Hungry's expertise it would likely have taken a trip to the gunsmith to figure out. Turns out all it needed was one good whack with the BFH in just the right spot and things were back to normal. Many, many thanks to Skeetgunner, Simar and esp. Hungry for sticking around until I got things running properly.

Awesome Awesome day. Thanks to Hungry, Skeetgunner and Sgt.RockRules04 for putting it on. DanToronto, thanks for the rear sight link. It'll help me remember what Hungry taught me when we swapped out my rear sight.

For those of you lucky enough to have a nice 4 o'clock gas lock ring, 6-49 is up to 17 million! Think of all the match rifles we could build :)

Looking forward to the iron sights black rifle clinic!
