Russian SKS45 long thread.

I have examples from both companies. The IZH one is much nicer in all aspects. Paint is smoother, and better applied, stock is in better shape, gun looks all around better. Now Bell does have quite a few in full laminate stocks, that are quite striking in their own way.

I went to the gunshow early this morning, a local dealer had about 9 fine examples so I was feeling pretty confident in obtaining one....I was 5 mins too late! All were gone, story of my life. I'm hoping for that 10,000 to arrive, then again I am a realist.

Not only it was punched, but it is DIFFERENT: RV vs. LI in the photo; looks like it's a mix and match kind of thing.

2. yes, the new SN are stamp on the side bcos the original SN at the bottom of the mags was destroyed by the welding of the blocks . from what i heard the blocks were done before arriving in canada .

when i spoke to them , they never said unissued , only immaculate but still disappointing.

When i asked if they were refurb'd the girl on the phone said 'no, they were in new condition from the factory, put into crates and never fired'

I didn't quite believe her, but what the hell, like you said, even for a hack-job refurb you can't beat the price. I was hoping for the best when i finalized my order with SIR, i went ahead and canceled with moving target. Now that i see what sir really has to offer, think i should have kept the 'unissued' on order from moving target.

I wonder how 'unissued' the MT unissued are, I have one on order too.
I want and been promissed something specific but I fear I shall get something else instead.

It's a '51 Tula, refurbished, painted bolt and cover, all numbers on metal matching, stock has same numbers as well (no old numbers X'd out). This is the first SKS I've ever seen in person.

Now just to clean, and shoot!
