Received mine yesterday, looks good.

Ok I've tried reading through these some odd 100 threads and tried searching and can't find an answer to my questions so here it goes...

The pistol will not feed the bullets? It seems to be getting jammed up on the feed ramp and I can't figure it out. They're winchester, not sure what grain. Its winclean and the bullet is concave, maybe flattened. Sure scratches up the casing too.

I dont' know, just thought I'd check with you guys. :)

Remembered seeing this several pages back. Apparently the M213 doesn't like hollow point either.

Also, have you checked the feed ramp for rough edges or burrs? That may be causing your problem as well.

I discovered one problem with these today....

they dont like the 147grain flat nosed style ammo, the slight difference in shape for the flat nose, causes the bullet to jam between the feed ramp and the firing pin. The 115 and 124 grain with the standard shaped bullet seems to feed fine though. With the 147 grain, I couldnt even chamber the first round.

Had the same problem with mine, it wont feed conical but hungrily feed round nose. When fed, the bullet goes up on the frame feeding ramp and jam against the bottom of the barrel feeding ramp. Can be easily adjusted with patience and sandpaper (or a dremmel if you feel confident). Go slowly, dont remove too much! When it feed correctly, polish the ramp. That should be enough to shoot whatever cartidge you feed the beast!

Wow I ordered Feb.12, and I just got processed........ I betcha they just put the paperwork in a pile and take from the top, so if they get behind you get further away from shipment......:( I'll wait, I am getting kinda antsy now, my CC has been charged for 2 weeks, and still no notice of shipment.

David, I'm in the same boat. I called the CFC to check on the progress and there seems to have been a "glitch" in the system which didn't allow the transfer to complete.

I phoned CanAm and explained it to them and it is sorted out, had TAN # yesterday and should see my pistol next week.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to call CFC and see if the same thing happened to you.

Hello Gents,

I'm getting ready for mine and got a quick question. I know how to strip the 213 but what would be the best way to prep it/clean it?

I've heard of guys stripping them down tossing the parts into Varsol and getting to it with a brush. It's still pretty cold out here and sitting outside cleaning pistol parts isn't a great idea.

Could I do a similar thing with Simple Green indoors? After it's cleaned, lube and use a regular gun cleaner.

Sound like a plan or am I out to lunch?

Simple green should work, although I used good ol' fashioned paper towels to get all the chinese mystery grease cleaned off, then I soaked a patch in gun oil, and rubbed everything down with that, then a clean patch to wipe everthing off, and then a standard 1911 style oiling, and mines been fantastic.

The best "no stink" cleaning y can do, just use boiling water, or just boiled dissembled $99 wonder for a few minutes to remove the "grease" it will dry up by itself because of the temperature it will get from the hot water, if you want to make SURE there is no water left bake it in a oven until it's really hot, and yeh ...don't forge to REMOVE the plastic grips before boiling it....and then oil it well when it cool down...

However long it took robins111 to get his will be NO indication of how long it will take you to get yours. There is no rhyme or reason as to how long these orders take, and they are not taken in sequence. Some get theirs in 2 weeks, some have been waiting for 6 weeks and have not even had a transfer initiated at the CFO, so add another 2 weeks for CFO approval (for Ontario) onto that, making it 8 weeks for an in stock item (that's assuming of course that the transfer was started yesterday... which, oops, I just checked... it wasn't).

Order it, hit submit, and pray to god that you see it within the next few months.

How do you remove the grips?... I cant figure it out.

Easy as pie. The left side grip comes off first. Look into the mag well with the gun pointing to the floor. You'll see a little lever at the bottom, flick this with a screw driver. Access the other one through the now gone left grip hole in frame. Same thing, the wing rotates. Be careful, these grips are fragile.

The letters stamped on the slide are all wavy and look like they have been done by hand. The safety is kinda backwards and generally not that great. I am happy with it though. I didn't have very high expectations of what to expect for $99. Overall it looks like a half descent firearm for next to nothing.
