Looks like you may have been a little under gunned. Weren't you worried you'd wound one and it would take a run at you :) I hear they can be nasty if they're angry.
 
Pics we don't need

I've hunted for a lot of years, and am interested in maintaining the sport. Sooo I would agree we can talk about this type of hunting, but posting pics like this, just gives the "anti's" more ammunition to fight us with.

Don't worry Bill. Most the places the guys are hunting have cattle. The cows step in the holes and break there legs witch in turns either cost alot of $ in medical or the cow is put down early.

There bodies may get ripped apart more than the deer u see in photos but that's just the nature of reality. .17hmr or .223 Dead is Dead.

Wtf..... this is the hunting section. if you dont like it, dont look. Are you making rules, or a "ban" about pictures of dead animals on a shooting and hunting forum. Go work for wendy

Judging from the pics the antis should have nothing to complain about as these critters never knew what hit them and didn't suffer one millisecond.

Don't worry about it, they'll hate us no matter how we hunt/kill/eat.

PS: We don't 'hunt' gophers here. We 'shoot' them.:)
 
well pictures like this really sadden me, they also anger me to a certain extent but I realize that anger will not get me anywhere. Why post these online where everyone can see them???? Your not thinking of others at all, what impact can this have on someone???? hmmm?

Me... I just keep thinking "only 2 1/2 more weeks only 2 1/2 more weeks and I'll be in Alberta" with my Marlin 17HMR, T/C Contender carbine in 223 and I'm planning on breaking in my new Sako 85 Gray Wolf in 22-250 and when I come back into southern BC on my way back home I'm going to be looking for a turkey as well... :p
