I just received my $99 Norinco m213 last week and decided to go to the range today to try out my first pistol and do somewhat of a range report. (Bear with me since this is the first time i do this)
And i loved it! Heres the beast:

So I shot 100 rounds total (50rds 115gr AE + 50rds 124gr AE) and had two hickups and one other little problem.

-First failure happenned in the 2nd round of a mag. I squeezed the trigger and... click. So i extracted the round and noticed the pin had barely struck the primer, there was just a little dot scratch on it.
So i put the round back in the magazine racked it into the chamber and away it went. Not sure why this happened anyone have an idea?

- Second failure was pretty simple. The casing failed to extract and got stuck in the ejection port, keeping the slide back. Any idea why? Limp wrist maybe?

I only put up one target and was alternating between paper at 15yds and a steel target (fig 12 size) at 50yds. I was getting a PING at about every 3 rounds after adjusting aim at 50yrds. And here is my paper target from 15yds:

*yes i made the target bleed

So before both failures, this happenned:

After emptying my first mag the pin holding the left grip came out when i took the magazine out. So i put it back in, and the same thing happens after the next mag.
I just put the pin aside and continued without it, the grip stayed on tight and there was no problem.

As for trigger weight, recoil, etc... I won't comment on those because this is my first pistol and can not really compare.
All i can say is everything felt comfortable, I didnt have to squeeze to hard and it didnt go off if i barely touched it either, so it felt right to me.

As for the grips i found them comfortable, even though they were a little small, i didnt have any big issues holding the gun properly.

All in all my first pistol experience was great, and it only cost me $140 with rounds!! Looks like I will be putting the rifles away for the summer.

Thank you for reading and I hope this was helpful. Here are a couple more pictures from today:

Nice rainy day

Yes it is a 9mm and the bullets were FMJ's. I don't know much about the 9mm round so i just chose AE because it seems to be what most people shoot other than reloads.

dude, my m213 sucked monkey balls. out of 100 rounds i was only able to shoot a clip thru it clean. and i have a video to prove how bad it sucked monkey balls.

skip to the very end of the video. this gun pisses me off. it's on Jamomatic mode on steroids

You must have got a bad one. My M-213 only quit for my girlfriend, and I suspect limp wristing. It even ate some low powered reloads....the slide velocity was actually slower than factory fodder. I was suprised it kept going.

RUSTSPOT, I had similar problems witm my M213 until I polisched the feed ramps, now it runs flawlessly. I used 1000 grit send paper to fix the rough spots.

It's Club de Tir St-Jacques le Mineur, about 45 minutes south of Montreal, right near the NY border. Its a great place with great people, one of the guys actually let me buy a box of 9mm off of him, 50rds just wasnt enough.

I also polished the feed ramps as soon as i got it. I used 220 grit sand paper, their not mirrors but it worked for me.

it's not the feed ramp. the empty shell get stock at the ejection port. the primer end facing forward and perfectly place at the same spot every time.

when you get those norc guns 'ya gotta give them a complete(as much as you're comfortable with) strip down and cleaning.they might be a little gritty inside.my two-tone m1911a1 got a full strip-down and cleaning/oiling.
the first 2 or 3 mags were jamomatic but after several mags shot and a few range trips she functions perfectly...

possible reason for the light strike on the first one, is if you eased the slide back instead of just racking it and letting it snap back on its own

Couldnt have been that because it was the 2nd round in the mag, i had already shot the first round and the slide racked itself.

Its strange, but im not worried it only happend once.

that's shi**y, mine runs nicely.

I shot mine on Saturday for the first time. I cleaned it before going out to the range and I was surprised by how it was easy to disassemble. I brought 124gr. Win. Fmj's and AE 147gr. Flat point FMJ's.

On a total of 200 rounds I had no feeding problems and 6 casings that did what Rustspot described. I also suspect that it might be caused by limp wristing.

At one point, a sliver (1/8" by 1/2") from the side of one of the grips broke off. No big deal, it does not interfere with feel or function. The trigger was a little stiffer than what I am used to, but I'll get used to it. I had a great time and I got to practice my malfunctioning drills.:p

Seriously, I am happy with the little bugger. I don't feel like I have to baby it, like my more expensive pistols. If something serious breaks, well I have another one on the way for spare mags and parts.;)

i did degrees the gun and oil it. the slide is smooth. i racked the slide 100s of times at home to break it in by hand. im gonna try another type of ammo and see if i'll have better luck. i was using american eagle 115gr . as you can see my grips were firm , and the shells arnt flying out of the gun most the time so it's not feeding issue.
